Declare imported Raintree logs Contain canned fish in the box

Recently, Xiamen Customs, haicang customs, seized a batch of imported and hidden goods. This is the first time that Xiamen Customs has seized canned fish in imported logs.

A few days ago, a certain company in Xiamen declared to Haicang Customs to import a batch of rain tree logs, and when the customs officer inspected the scene, he found that in addition to the logs, a large number of wet and damaged cartons were also placed in the container, and the canned goods in the box had been scattered on the ground, and the customs temporarily sealed the relevant goods.

On October 28, the manager confirmed that the goods contained in the box were all canned tuna, totaling 18,720 cans, of which 1,656 were damaged. At present, the case has been transferred to follow-up disposal.

According to industry insiders, the batch of imported canned fish has not been inspected by the customs, and there is a greater hidden danger of food safety. At the same time, messy packaging and a dirty and unclean environment are also more likely to cause food pollution and threaten the health of the people.

Xiamen Customs especially reminds enterprises to import legal and compliant food through formal channels, and truthfully declare to the customs and accept inspection in the import process. For evading customs supervision by means of false reporting, the customs will deal with it severely in accordance with the law, and those that constitute food smuggling crimes will be handed over to the judicial organs for handling.
