However, in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, there is no mention of Recognizing Ding Yuan as a righteous father, but Ding Yuan gave Lü Bu a great favor and treated Lü Bu like a father.

Dong Zhuo is not recognized as a righteous father here, but Lü Bu said to Dong Zhuo that from now on I will serve you like a father, and you should also treat me like a child. This only shows Lü Bu's obedience and praise for Dong Zhuo. It is not said that Dong Zhuo is officially recognized as a righteous father.
Dong Zhuo was indeed a murderous and brutal person, because he was dissatisfied with Lü Bu because of a small matter, and he was angry and wanted to kill Lü Bu. Of course, I guess what is being said here is just angry words, and you can't really kill Lü Bu. However, Lü Bu was a careful eye, and was provoked by Wang Yun to kill Dong Zhuo and defect to Wang Yun.
Many people say that Lü Bu was only exaggerated by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and the real Lü Bu's force value is not ranked, but it is not. When Lü Bu killed Dong Zhuo, he did not use the plot to kill Dong Zhuo behind his back, but led people straight to Dong Zhuo to stab Dong Zhuo to death.
