Jia Nanfeng (257–300 AD), a native of Xiangling, Pingyang (present-day Xiangfen, Shanxi). She was the empress of Sima Zheng (司馬炎子), the Emperor Hui of Jin during the Western Jin Dynasty, the granddaughter of Cao Wei Yuzhou's assassin Shi Jia Kui, and the daughter of the Western Jin Dynasty Dazai Jia Chong (who had participated in the suppression of the Huainan Rebellion and the killing of the Wei Emperor Cao Xi, whose daughter was married to Sima Yan's brother Sima You and second son Sima Zheng, the founding father of the Western Jin Dynasty). After Sima Yan's death, Sima Zheng succeeded to the throne, but Sima Zheng's intelligence was poor and he was weak and incompetent, Jia Nanfeng was able to monopolize power, completely put the imperial court under his control, and the political situation was turbulent, and Jia Nanfeng was the culprit of the Rebellion of the Eight Kings during the Western Jin Dynasty.

In 290, Sima Yan died, Sima Zheng succeeded to the throne as emperor, and Jia Nanfeng was made empress. After Sima Zheng succeeded to the throne, Yang Jun (the father of Emperor Wu of Jin's empress Yang Shi) was made a taifu and an auxiliary chancellor, and Yang Jun would personally inquire into all matters in the court, and Jia Nanfeng also wanted to participate in political affairs, so an irreconcilable contradiction was formed between Yang Jun, who was blindly dictatorial, and Jia Nanfeng, who was eager for power. In 291 CE, Jia Nanfeng sent people to contact Sima Liang, the king of Runan, and Sima Wei, the king of Chu, and asked them to lead an army against Yang Jun, sima Wei agreed to merge into the dynasty, and then Jia Nanfeng instructed his ministers to falsely accuse Yang Jun of rebellion, and sent Sima Wei to kill Yang Jun and the Yi tribes. Later, Jia Nanfeng deposed empress dowager Yang shi as a shuren and imprisoned her in Jin Yongcheng (present-day Mengjin County, Eastern Luoyang), where she was persecuted to death the following year.

After killing Yang Jun, Jia Nanfeng appointed Sima Liang, the King of Runan, as Dazai, and co-assisted him with Taibao, and also appointed Sima Wei as a wei general, Sima Xuan as Shangshu's left servant, and himself interfered in state affairs. As Jia Nanfeng's desire for power swelled, Shangshu Zuo's servant Sima Xuan prepared to depose Empress Jia Nanfeng, but Sima Liang accused Sima Liang of intending to specialize in government and expel Sima Liang from exile, and then Sima Liang, the king of Runan, caused discord with Sima Wei, the king of Chu, because of his proposal to weaken the power of the kings, and Sima Wei, the king of Chu, and Jia Nanfeng directed another correction, using Sima Wei, the king of Chu, to kill Sima Liang, the king of Runan, and then Jia Nanfeng announced that Sima Wei was the one who killed Sima Liang, the king of Chu, and Sima Wei, the king of Chu, was also arrested and killed (this was the beginning of the Rebellion of the Eight Kings). At this time, Jia Nanfeng was able to monopolize power, and she appointed Jia Mo, Zhang Hua, and Pei Ju (wei) as shizhong and zhongshu supervisors, and the political affairs of the dprk and china were mainly responsible for Jia, Zhang, and Pei.

The crown prince Sima Song (yu), who was intelligent but fierce in temperament since childhood, offended Jia Mi because of some trivial matters, and then Jia Mi played with Jia Nanfeng, saying that after the crown prince succeeded to the throne, he would be unfavorable to the Jia family. Jia Nanfeng originally wanted to control the government effectively for a long time, Sima Suo was the biggest obstacle to Jia Nanfeng who wanted to control the government, in 299 AD, Jia Nanfeng lured Sima Suo into the palace, using Sima Suo to write down the words of letting the emperor abdicate and become the emperor himself in a drunken confusion, and then Jia Nanfeng presented it to Sima Zheng, the emperor of Jinhui, who was stupid, followed Jia Nanfeng's advice, deposed Sima Suo as a commoner, and imprisoned in Jin Yongcheng. The crown prince Sima Suo was originally very famous, and many ministers were dissatisfied with Jia Nanfeng and planned to depose Jia Nanfeng and restore Sima Suo, which greatly frightened Jia Nanfeng, so he ordered the tai doctor to order Cheng to bring poison, and ordered Huangmen Sun Wei to go and poison Sima Suo, but Sima Suo refused to take it, and Sun Suan eventually killed Sima Suo with a medicinal pestle.

Jia Nanfeng's brutality and conspiracy to depose the crown prince aroused strong dissatisfaction and opposition from the kings of the Sima clan. Sima Lun, the King of Zhao, led his troops into the palace, deposed Jia Nanfeng as a shuren, killed dozens of Jia Nanfeng's henchmen, and soon poisoned Jia Nanfeng with gold crumb wine. In August of the same year, Sima Yun, the king of Huainan, raised an army to recruit Sima Lun, the king of Zhao, and the Western Jin dynasty began to kill each other, and Jia Nanfeng's interference in the government finally led to the rebellion of the eight kings, and a unified China has since fallen into a three-hundred-year division.
