1. Jinan
Jinan, also known as Quancheng, is the capital of Shandong Province, and is named because it is located in the south of Jishui. Jishui, also known as the Daqing River, was diverted by the Yellow River in 1855 and became the lower reaches of the Yellow River, which is now little known.
It has a long history and is the birthplace of the prehistoric culture "Longshan Culture", and the Warring States Period (475 BC ~ 221 BC) was changed to Lixiayi. When Yang Erlang grew up, after hearing about this, he asked the Jade Emperor for his mother, and the Jade Emperor said, "Your mother has violated the rules of heaven and was pressed under the Big Buddha Mountain on her back, and it is right to be punished; however, you are a filial piety, and it is also right to look for your mother, if you can move the two mountains away, you can save your mother." In order to save his mother, Yang Erlang tried his best to use a long flat shoulder, one head to carry Yunmen Mountain, the other to carry the big Buddha Mountain on his back, walking forward, on the way suddenly heard a loud "boo" sound, just on the top of the mountain facing the Big Buddha Mountain, opened a crack more than ten meters deep, the two mountains "pounced" and landed on the ground of Qingzhou, this is Yunmen Mountain and Split Mountain.
Split Mountain is also called the Great Buddha Mountain. Bian Dan Zhai jumped to the ground and named it Zhaizi Village.
3. Whip Finger Alley
Legend has it that the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty drove to Jinan on an auspicious day of the zodiac in a certain year, and the loess paving of Jinan City and the idle people were all avoided. He straddled the imperial horse high, the flag gong and umbrella fan, and the civil and military officials hugged back and forth. He swam to Baotu Spring and saw the water outside Ximen City.
When I entered the west gate, I was very happy to see a prosperous scene inside the city gate. Riding a horse to the south entrance of Whip Lane to stop, seeing that the alley was crowded with shops selling horse whips, bull whips and other carriages and horse harnesses, he pointed to the horse whip and asked the minister who accompanied him, Liu Yong, what is the name of this street, Liu Yong is smart and sensitive, and is famous for his calligraphy and good judgment of public cases. Hearing the emperor's question, Lingji replied with a movement: "Long live the retribution, this street is just like the royal whip, it is a blessing, it can be called whip finger alley."
Emperor Da Yue rewarded Liu Yong for this. Those high-ranking officials of Jinan who saw the wind and made the rudder, the inspectors, and the envoys immediately sent a message to the prefect of Jinan and the zhixian of Licheng: "The emperor's granting of the name of the street is a fortunate thing that has never been seen in eternity, and it is actually the grace and glory of the whole city of Jinan, and it will be renamed as soon as possible."
Since then, the name of Whip Finger Lane has been called out in Jinan.
4. Daming Lake
Legend has it that a long time ago, the north city of Jinan was once land, but there were more forks in the ditches. There is a Daming Temple in the north of the city, the abbot is a greedy and lustful person, in the temple there is a trap mechanism, pit to deceive and ruin women, the temple often occurs incense burning women missing. No one dares to provoke the collusion of the government.
There is a family surnamed Cheng in the southeast mountains of Jinan, and an old mother lives with a son and a daughter. The son Cheng Yuhe is loyal and honest, and the daughter Cheng Yulian looks handsome and kind. The old mother suddenly fell seriously ill and was bedridden for more than three months. In order to seek the healing of their mother's illness, the brothers and sisters went to daming temple to ask god for a wish.
The monks of Daming Temple took advantage of the two people's closed eyes and prayer to plunge Yulian into the underground chamber. After Cheng Yuhe finished praying, he opened his eyes and disappeared his sister, but the monk pretended that Yulian had left and pushed Yuhe out of the temple. Yuhe returned home, and when the old mother heard that Yulian was missing, she swallowed her breath in a hurry and breath. Yuhe ran to Daming Temple to find his sister, and the monk would not let him enter the door, so Yuhe went to Yamen to file a complaint. When the people at the gate heard that it was a complaint to Daming Temple, they pushed him out without asking qinghong, and Yuhe was so anxious that Yuhe cried outside daming temple and gradually fainted.
Yuhe's cries reached the ears of the Heavenly Jade Emperor, and the Jade Emperor asked what had happened to the Netherworld, and the clairvoyant looked down and rushed to the Jade Emperor to explain the matter, and the Jade Emperor was furious and ordered the True Martial Water God netherworld to punish the wicked. When Emperor Zhenwu got the order, he would go down the border with Lei Gong, Electric Mother, Rain Master, and Wind Lady.
The monks of Daming Temple were in the secret room, trying their best to force Yulian, when they suddenly saw a flash of lightning, a deafening explosion of thunder, which killed the evil monk to death, at this time the sky was dark, the rain and storm were crazy, the whole Daming Temple fell into the ground, the water flooded from the ground, and most of the north city became a lake.
Yulian was stunned by the thunder, and when she woke up, her body was already on the north shore, and she saw her brother by her side. She woke up her brother, and the two of them told the story of what had happened, and when she heard that her mother was dying in a hurry because of her loss, she was in great pain. She stood in a daze for half a day and jumped into the lake, where a white lotus flower grew.
This lake is now Daming Lake, and the jade lotus has become the white lotus in Daming Lake.
5. The frogs in Daming Lake do not crow
In that year, the Qianlong Emperor went down to Jiangnan and lived in the patrol gate by Daming Lake. At night, the frogs of Daming Lake were noisy and noisy, so noisy that this long-lived grandfather could not sleep.
So he summoned his attendant Minister Liu Yong (i.e., Liu Luoguo) and asked Liu Yong to pass on his holy will, and did not allow the frogs of Daming Lake to bark anymore. Liu Yong had to obey the order, came to the high Arctic Pavilion, and loudly announced the Qianlong Emperor's holy will to the frogs in the lake. After all, the emperor is a golden tooth, and even the frog does not dare to disobey the order.
Since then, the frogs of Daming Lake have never barked again.
6. Mapao Spring
It is said that the anti-Jin general Guan Sheng's war horse in the Bac Ninh period was planed out, hence the name. According to legend, Guan Sheng was a general of the peasant uprising in Liangshan and a general of Liu Yu, the commander-in-chief of Jinan, who was good at war, and when the Jin invaded the south, he swore to die and fought hard against Jin.
In a fierce battle, maicheng was defeated, and his thirst was waterless, which was very unbearable. His war horse looked up at the sky and hissed, his front hooves struggled to plane the ground, and the spring water snatched out of the ground, and posterity called it Mapao Spring in honor of this spring.
7. Dragon Cave Mountain
Legend has it that when Dayu ruled the water, there was a vast ocean at the foot of Alexandria Mountain. There was a vicious dragon at the bottom of the water, Yu general Ji and Luo Er water dredging, the flood drained, the evil dragon had nowhere to hide, jumped to the east.
Da Yu chased after him, and the evil dragon burrowed into the stone cave on the mountain east of the city, yu stepped forward to catch it, and the dragon roared and broke out of the mountain. Dayu chased him to the mountain stream (today's Huilong Cave, in the Pulshuiquan Scenic Area), and finally subdued the evil dragon. The hole that appeared when the dragon crossed was called the dragon cave by posterity.
That mountain was also named Longdong Mountain, also known as Yudeng Mountain. The deep ditch at the bottom of the mountain is called "Hidden Dragon Stream".
8. Alexandre iron lock
Alexandria, now also known as Thousand Buddha Mountain. Legend has it that a long time ago, there was an ancient iron lock on the mountain, as thick as a human arm, and it circled its peak for two weeks. Why?
It turned out that Alexandria was originally a sea immortal mountain, and the immortals who lived on the mountain were active, always taking this Shandong to the west, which greatly displeased the sea god and secretly locked the mountain with an iron lock. Who would have expected that one day the iron lock would be broken, and the mountain would fly down here, but a broken lock was still tied to the peak.
9. Taurus Mountain
In ancient times, at the foot of Mount Hua in Jinan, there was a bitter child who herded cattle for a rich man. The rich man had a dark heart and brought only one loaf of bread for his children every day to herd cattle. On this day, the bitter child was trying to eat, and an old man in rags asked him for bread to eat. When the child saw that the old man was pitiful, he gave all the bread to the old man, but he himself was starving.
The old man wanted to repay the child, so he led him into a cave, only to see a golden cow pulling a gold mill in the rolling of golden beans, and the old man held a handful of golden beans for the child. When the rich man knew about it, he took the bag to the cave to fill the golden beans, and wanted to get the golden bull and the golden mill home. Unexpectedly, the taurus ran out of the cave with a roar, and the mouth of the cave collapsed, and the rich man was buried in the cave.
The cow ran to the edge of the water to drink water, and the chicken crowed, and the golden bull turned into a mountain, known as the Golden Bull Mountain. There is a cave at the foot of Mount Hua, which is the legendary Golden Bull Cave.
10. Baotu Spring
A long time ago, there was a young woodcutter named Bao Quan in Jinan, who cut firewood with an axe every day and still could not feed his elderly parents. His parents suddenly fell seriously ill and had no money to hire a doctor, so Bao Quan had to watch his parents die one after another.
Since then, he has studied medicine from a monk and saved many ordinary people in a few years. At that time, there was no spring water in Jinan, and in the dry year, there was not even water to decoct medicine, so Bao Quan got up early every day to carry water and fry medicine for those poor people who could not afford water. One day, Bao Quan saved an old man on the way to carry water, and worshiped the elder as a dry father. Gan Dad saw that Bao Quan treated the poor all day long, so busy that he didn't even have time to eat, he said: "There is a black dragon pond on Mount Taishan, the water in the pool, specializing in the treatment of plague, you must be able to pick up a load of water back, each patient as long as a drop into the nose, you can eliminate a hundred diseases." Bao Quan took the crutch given by Gan Dad, went through all the hardships, and came to the Black Dragon Pond of Taishan, but found that this place was originally the Dragon Palace, and Gan Dad was the brother of the Dragon King.
Bao Quan picked out a white jade pot that was the Dragon King's gift, and the water inside could never be drunk. After Bao Quan returned to Quancheng, he cured many patients, and when the governor heard about it, he sent someone to snatch it, and Bao Quan buried the pot in the courtyard. Tolerance dug up the white jade pot in the courtyard, but they could not move it, they worked hard together, only to listen to the sound of "grunting", suddenly from the flat ground "exhaled" out of a large stream of water, splashing water all over the city, where the water droplets fell, where there appeared a spring, since then Jinan has become a famous spring city.
In order to commemorate Bao Quan, people call this spring Baoquan, and over the years, people call it "Baotu Spring" again according to the way the spring water grunts outward.
