The Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China is the only national congress held abroad in the history of the Communist Party of China, which is of special historical significance to the development of the Chinese revolution. According to Ren Runbin, then deputy secretary of the party branch of the Sixth Congress Site Restoration Project, in February 2015, he and the management team of the Sixth Congress Site Restoration Project embarked on a journey to Moscow. When the meeting place was reached, everyone was confused. In the thick snow stood a villa like a "haunted house", the roof and windows had long disappeared, leaving only a few thin walls and garbage.
The "May Day Village", where the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of China is located, was originally named "Old Nikolisky Village", which was the manor of Musin Pushkin, a great nobleman of the Russian Tsarist era. When French troops withdrew from Moscow in 1812, the estate was burned to the ground. After 1917, the estate was nationalized by the Soviet government. In the summer of 1928, the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held at the old Nikoliskoye Estate, and the main building of the meeting was no longer the former aristocratic mansion, but a dormitory building of the Soviet people. On August 30, 1960, the Council of Ministers of the Russian Republic of Soviets decided to designate the old Nikolismoye estate as a historical and cultural heritage. The reality, however, is that the buildings here are not well protected. In 2011, the original manor main building suffered another fire, almost in ruins, without even leaving a complete window.

In order to solve this problem, the project department used external scaffolding and insulation cotton curtains to set up a fully enclosed preheating shed outside the building, which looked like a huge cotton suit from a distance.
After countless hardships, the site of the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has finally regained its new life. On July 4, 2016, the completion ceremony of the permanent exhibition hall at the site of the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Moscow, Russia. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping delivered a congratulatory speech on the completion of the permanent exhibition hall at the site.
