Yesterday, the Heat officially announced the completion of an early contract extension with team forward Jimmy Butler. According to previous reports, the renewal contract is a four-year, $184 million maximum salary renewal.
The US media Spot revealed the details of the contract extension: Butler originally had a player option of $37.65 million in the 2022-23 season, and the contract was voided for the year after the renewal.
The contract extension is effective from the 2022-23 season until the 2025-26 season, when the 36-year-old Butler has the player options for that season. Over the four seasons, Butler's salaries were $41.65 million, $44.98 million, $48.31 million and $51.65 million, respectively.
