The leaders and guests presented awards to the winners and teams such as outstanding coaches, excellent referees, sportsmanship awards, enterprising awards, group 4-6, best match chess players, most valuable chess players, team champions and runners-up, and awarded medals to Guangdong Lechang Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd., which strongly supported the event.
Since its inception in 2003, the National Chess Women's First Division League has been successfully held for eight sessions, and is a representative event with the highest level of competition in women's chess in China. This competition is the third edition hosted by Lechang. The first stage of the women's elephant league this season was completed in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province in early June, and the second stage of the competition was held in Lechang, Guangdong Province on October 23, and after eight days of 18 intense rounds of competition, it ended successfully today.
Lechang chess has a long history, a good foundation of chess culture and a strong social atmosphere, and successfully declared itself the hometown of national chess in 2019. In recent years, Lechang City has always adhered to the people-centered approach, continuously enriched the cultural life of the masses, established the Lechang Chess Association, built a chess venue, vigorously carried out promotional activities such as "Chess entering the campus", and held large-scale chess events for many times, attracting outstanding chess players from all over the country to actively participate, contributing to the vigorous development of Chess.
At the closing ceremony, the participating leaders also presented awards to Zhu Shaojun, an athlete from Lechang City, who won the championship of the men's team amateur group of the 14th National Games Mass Event.
