ESPN reporter Woj reported that agent Steven Heumann revealed that Patti Mills joined the Nets for $12.1 million in two years, with the second year being a player option.
Mills averaged 10.8 points per game for the Spurs last season, hitting a career-high 161 three-pointers and shooting at least 150 goals per season over the past four years.
Bruce Brown, meanwhile, returned to the Nets on a one-year qualification offer ($4.7 million) to become a full free agent next year.
The Nets previously offered Brown a one-year offer for qualifications, who became a restricted free agent. Brown could sign a new contract with the Nets, or he could directly qualify for another year and become a complete free man next summer.
Brown, who will turn 25 this month, evolved into a brilliant small-ball center last season, averaging 8.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and shooting 55.6 percent from the field.
The Nets also signed 34-year-old James Johnson to a one-year veteran contract, who scored 7.2 points and 3.5 rebounds for the Mavericks and Pelicans last season and is a strong forward who is strong in defense than offense.
