According to a number of Indian media reports, Indian officials said that India successfully launched a "Agni-5" ballistic missile from Abdul Karam Island near the coast of Barasol in Odisha State on Wednesday local time.

Indian media said that the "Agni-5" missile uses a three-stage solid fuel engine, which can hit targets 5,000 kilometers away with very high accuracy.
