As soon as Miao Yu saw Jia Mu coming, she smiled and greeted her. As a result, Jia Mu did not go in, saying, "We have all eaten wine and meat, and you have a bodhisattva here, and you have washed away your sins." We sit here, bring your good tea, we have a cup and we go. ”
So, why does Jammu say that there are bodhisattvas in the Licui Nunnery?
I never expected that there really was such a thing, and the author used a realistic pen. This matter must first start with the Grand View Garden.
According to the "Old Wen Kao of the Emperor Dingzhi", volume 80 of the "Yuanmingyuan I", "The North Wall of Qinghui Pavilion hangs the "Whole Map of the Yuanmingyuan". In the second year of Qianlong, Lang Shining, Tang Dai, Sun Hu, Shen Yuan, Zhang Wanbang, and Ding Guanpeng painted by the Academy of Painting. The imperial title is 'Daguan'. ”
The historical data is very clear, and the "Whole Map of the Yuanmingyuan" has the word "Daguan" written by the Qianlong Emperor. This is the origin of the author's allusion to why the Yuanmingyuan is called "Grand View Garden" in "Dream of the Red Chamber"!

This poem is to say: Where there are chickens chirping is Daoxiang Village, and where there are bells ringing is Licui Temple! In the Yuanmingyuan, there is exactly one place where there is a self-chiming bell, which is Ciyun Puhu. Located on the north shore of Houhu Lake, Ciyun Puhu is a temple garden and one of the forty scenic spots of the Yuanmingyuan.

The Qianlong Emperor said in one sentence that Ciyun Puhu "erected a bell tower with a height of three zhang". It can be seen that the Licui Temple in daguanyuan is actually Ciyun Puhu. Moreover, the Qianlong Emperor also said that Ciyun Puhu "the temple is for guanyin masters".
Originally, the main hall of Ciyun Puhu was dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the adjacent hall of the Joyful Buddha Hall was dedicated to the Tibetan Tantric Joyful Buddha, and there was also a Dragon King Hall dedicated to the Dragon King.
