The eruption of the old Quembre volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma has continued since September 19, 2021, causing thousands of people to lose their homes and jobs. The scene is terrifying as huge rocks erupt from the old Khumbre volcano tumbling down from the summit. With volcanic eruptions, the surrounding area is marked by frequent earthquakes.
La Palma Isle of La Palma, a volcanic island and a holiday destination, located in the northwestern part of the Canary Islands and covering an area of 708 square kilometers. The island has had seven recorded eruptions, the last in 1971.
