The eruption on the Spanish island of La Palma has now lasted for more than a month, with a large amount of lava engulfing buildings, cars and farmland, and the eruption shows no signs of abating so far, which could last for 3 months.

Volcanic lava caused about 7,500 people to be evacuated, destroying more than 2,000 buildings, most of them houses. The lava rivers cover more than 900 hectares of farmland, with the main flow stretching across the islands to the Atlantic Ocean.

Currently, the eruption has not resulted in fatalities. With the exception of one area on the west side of La Palma Island, the lives of the 85,000 inhabitants of the rest of the area went on as usual, only to have to clean up the volcanic ash.
