Xu Tianxin

Xu Tianxin, born in December 1937, is a native of Faku Town, Faku County. In 1956, he graduated from Faku High School and was admitted to the Chinese Department of Shenyang Normal College (merged into Liaoning University in 1958).

In July 1960, Xu Tianxin joined the work force after graduating from the department of Chinese of Liaoning University. For more than 30 years, Xu Tianxin has successively served as a teacher in Liaoning Art Theater, Tieling County Critics Troupe, Cultural Center, Propaganda Department of Tieling County CPC Committee, Literary and Art Propaganda Team, Memorial Hall of Zhou Enlai's Former Reading Site, Propaganda Department of Yinzhou District CPC Committee, Tieling Municipal Bureau of Culture and other units. In 1985, he became the director of the Tieling Art Research Institute and the secretary of the party branch. Obtained the senior title (researcher). He retired in October 1997.

Over the years, Xu Tianxin has devoted himself to the study of local culture, written hundreds of articles, and published many books (co-authors) such as "History of Northern Liaoning", "Celebrities of Tieling History", and "Kaiyuan History". The article written by Xu has a distinctive feature, that is, its pioneering and regional nature. Therefore, Xu wrote papers and examinations and paid great attention to studying and showing the appearance and connotation of the history, culture and art of northern Liaoning; The study of contemporary culture and art does not forget its due value in guiding regional culture. This is mainly embodied in articles such as "Examination of the Golden Music and Dance Activities in Northern Liaoning", "Viewing northeast songs from ancient poems", "Answers to questions on the soil layer of northern Liaoning culture", "On the historical characteristics of northern Liaoning songs", etc. Xu Tianxin's scientific research achievements have produced great social benefits. Some of them were adopted by the Tieling Municipal Government and selected into the "Tieling City Chronicle" sub-volume "Tieling City Culture Chronicle". The book "Celebrities in the History of Tieling" co-authored by Xu was recognized as a prominent achievement of the government's revision work and became a teaching material for the people of Tieling to love their hometown and the motherland. Xu Tianxin is known as "the first person to study the local culture of northern Liaoning". Xu's "Gao Qipei and Finger Painting" expounds the origin of Tieling finger painting. Xu wrote that Ren Qingtai, a Faku, was "the first person to bring Chinese opera to the screen". Xu Tianxin also examined and discovered that Zhang Deyi of Tieling was the first cultural person to introduce foreign drama to China. Xu published articles such as "Xiao Fengxian in Tieling", "Anecdotes of Li Chengliang's Hometown", and "Wei Xiejun and His Poems". Some of the papers written by Xu have been reprinted in other journals and translated by foreign countries.

In the study of local culture for many years, Xu Tianxin has made important contributions to the development and construction of cultural undertakings in northern Liaoning, and achieved remarkable results. His "Liaoning Volume of Chinese Opera" won the Commemorative Award of the Ministry of Culture; Participated in the editor-in-chief of "Chinese Folk Dance Integration. Liaoning volume. Tieling Information Book" won the second prize of the Provincial Department of Culture for the paper "Examination of The Golden Music and Dance Activities in Northern Liaoning" and "Examination of the Source Flow of Taiping Drums" and won the first prize of the provincial paper. The provincial key art research projects "Tieling Opera Chronicle" and "Tieling Quyi Zhi" that he presided over and compiled have won the first prize of Liaoning Provincial Art Research Achievements.

In the "Chinese Drama Yearbook" article "Forty Years of Liaoning Drama", Xu Tianxin was listed as one of the celebrities in the Liaoning theater industry.

Xu Tianxin is a member of the Liaoning Folk Writers Association, a director of the Tieling Civic Artists Association, a member of the Liaoning Jin Khitan Female True History Research Association, and a specially invited member of the Tieling Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
