Twelve years ago today, the founder of China's great space industry - Mr. Qian Xuesen passed away, looking back on the past 12 years, the vicissitudes of the sea, the great changes in the sun and the moon, China's space industry is thriving, the Shenzhou THIRTEEN spacecraft was successfully launched, and three Chinese astronauts successfully docked with China's new space station, which will be China's longest manned space mission so far, and it is also the latest milestone in its becoming a space power. And all this development is inseparable from the efforts of Mr. Qian Xuesen, today is the 12th anniversary of the death of Mr. Qian Xuesen, let us walk into Mr. Qian Xuesen to understand his great achievements, magnificent epic.

In 1949, Qian Xuesen taught at the California Institute of Technology
Qian Xuesen was born in Shanghai on December 11, 1911. Due to his excellent results, he was admitted to the seventh batch of Students studying in the United States by Gengjian of Tsinghua University, and after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States, he transferred to the Department of Aeronautics of the California Institute of Technology to study, under the tutelage of aerospace engineer Von Carmen, and became his most valued student.
In 1950, Qian Xuesen was preparing to return to China, but he was blocked by the United States. They put him in jail, and the Americans said he was "worth five divisions" and would rather be shot than let him go back to his home country. Before leaving the United States, Qian Xuesen told reporters who came to interview: "I do not plan to come back, I want to do my best to help Chinese people build a country that can make them happy and dignified." In 1955, through the continuous efforts of Premier Zhou Enlai, Qian Xuesen could finally return to China, but he still faced the danger of assassination on the road.
In October 1955, Qian Xuesen (left), who had returned to his homeland from the United States, arrived in Beijing, and Wu Youxun, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, came to greet him
After returning to China, Qian Xuesen was commissioned to set up China's first rocket and missile research institute, and he pushed forward the launch of China's missiles and atomic bombs for at least 20 years, and won the "Two Bombs and One Star Meritorious Medal", and he was also the founder of China's manned spaceflight. During China's most difficult years, Chen Geng suddenly and seriously asked: "Mr. Qian, do you think we can Chinese build missiles?" Qian Xuesen replied emphatically: "What's not to like?" Foreigners can make it, and we Chinese can also make it. Is it possible that Chinese is shorter than a foreigner? ”
Qian Xuesen died in Beijing on October 31, 2009 at the age of 98, and today marks the 12th anniversary of his death.
Elder Qian said: "My career is in China, my achievements are in China, and my fate is in China." "At the farewell banquet when Elder Qian returned home. His teacher and good friend Mr. Von Kármán asked him: "China is so backward, do you want to go back and grow apples?" Stay, you'll make a difference. To this, Qian Xuesen replied with a smile: "If the motherland needs it, it is not impossible for me to grow apples." "Qian Lao's apple tree is China's aerospace industry, and now that he is blossoming and bearing better and better, we are enough to comfort Qian Lao."
In fact, with his background in rocket science, he must be the beacon that guides the direction of China's missile program. As far as China's current and future achievements are concerned, I will attribute it to Qian Xuesen's leadership. He is a descendant of Wu Yueguo's Qian Biao, his life's experience and achievements have left a dazzling light in our national history and national history, he is a bright light on the road to a strong army and a rich country in our country, he is a hero of the country and the backbone of the nation, he is the "father of China's aerospace" and "the father of China's missiles" His name is Qian Xuesen! Let us remember Mr. Qian Xuesen!
