At the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, at the north gate of Luyi County, Henan, Zhu Yuezhen, a reconnaissance hero of the Eighth Route Army, and Song Mingxian, a scout dressed as a Japanese gendarme, rode to the north gate of Luyi County.
The ghost soldiers standing guard at the gate of the city were interrogating the ordinary people entering and leaving, holding the three or eight large covers of bayonets, and stood in front of the gate of the watchtower looking east and west in a menacing manner. The Japanese sentry saw Zhu and Song coming at them, and thinking that the gendarmes were going out to return to the city, they grunted and issued an exit order. Zhu Yuezhen did not speak Japanese, lest he reveal his flaws, and then under the cover of Song Mingxian, he took out a pistol from his waist and aimed it at the head of the Japanese sentry. The devil's guard didn't even have time to say a word, and he fell to the ground on his back facing the sky. The sound of gunfire instantly caused a commotion throughout the city, and by the time the ghosts in the city arrived at the scene, Zhu and Song had already ridden out twenty miles away.

After a few days, on their way back from a reconnaissance mission, they passed through the county seat of Luyi. The two of them remembered the ghost sentry that they had killed a few days ago, and in excitement, they discussed: Go to Luyi City to get the ghost again, and take him another one by the way. The two of them discussed it properly, and then they rode to the western gate of the city. In the distance, under the Ximen Guard Tower, two Japanese and puppet military sentries came and went. Only to see them rush to the bottom of the watchtower with the fastest speed, and the devil's guard post had not yet reacted to figure out what was going on. Only to see Zhu Yuezhen raise his gun in his hand, and the ghost sentry fell to the ground in response. The remaining traitor who accompanied the post hurriedly drilled into the guard tower. It was too late, it was fast, only to see Song Mingxian fly off his horse, an arrow step came to the traitor's back, grabbed it, held it on the horse with both hands, turned over on the horse again, immediately turned the horse's head, and rushed away in the direction of the west.
One after another, the sentries were attacked, causing the ghosts in the city to panic, and the common people secretly clapped their hands and applauded. The devils could not catch the murderer, so they had to increase the city gate guard and strengthen their guard.
Soon after, the head of the military district gave them an even more difficult task. They need to go to the county seat of Luyi and grab a Japanese "tongue" back. They were well aware of the difficulty of this task, and their two raids on Japanese posts would certainly arouse the vigilance of the ghosts stationed in Luyi. The previous methods can certainly not be used again, which will make their operation more difficult and will never be as easy as the last two. Nevertheless, they firmly accepted the task.
This day is the hottest time of summer. When the sun was scorching and the heat was unbearable, Zhu Yuezhen and Song Mingxian came to the moat at the west gate of Luyi County, hiding in the sorghum field that was about to mature, and in the distance they could see the Japanese military sentry with the sun flag. The two ghost sentries were armed with live ammunition under the scorching sun below the watchtower, too hot to bear, and paced back and forth impatiently. After about a quarter of an hour, I saw two ghosts who had changed the guard from the city, and after they had been talking for a while, the original two ghosts left the guard post and entered the city gate. The two newly changed devils chatted with each other again, only to see an older devil run to the guard post and smoke in the shade, and another younger devil put his gun on his back, walked up the small bridge over the moat, and walked straight to the sorghum field where they were hiding.
They were startled, thinking they had accidentally exposed their target. But looking at the ghost's careless look, it didn't look like he had found any target. So the two of them quickly relaxed their minds, and passed each other a knowing look, quickly and quietly moved their bodies, hiding in a dense bush not far ahead. They had just hidden, and the Japanese devils had come to this bush. I saw that he did not hurry to lean his spear against a small tree trunk, untied his trouser belt and squatted there to defecate. Zhu Yuezhen saw this scene and quickly made a hint to Song Mingxian with both hands to cover his mouth and grab it. Without much effort, the devil stood up with his pants. Just as the devil was intently tying his pants belt, he saw that they were like tanuki cats catching mice, jumping lightly and quickly behind the devil. The devilish soldier heard a voice behind him and was waiting to turn back, his mouth already tightly covered by a large hand. Then a black, shiny muzzle of a gun hit his head.
The devilish sentry was frightened when he saw this, but told them with pitiful eyes that they were willing to obediently surrender. Song Mingxian held the gun against the devil's back, Zhu Yuezhen pointed with his hand in the direction of the west, and the two of them quickly disappeared into the endless green gauze tent with the devil.
