Global smartphone shipments in the third quarter: the top five domestic products

Recently, research institute StrategyAnalytics released the third quarter of 2021 global smartphone shipment report. In Q3 2021, global smartphone shipments fell 10.8% year-on-year to 327.3 million units. It ended the recovery phase that the industry has experienced over the past four quarters. Supply constraints have hit the smartphone market hard, with many vendors unable to meet strong demand for the upcoming holiday season. StrategyAnalytics expects supply constraints to continue into the first half of 2022.

Samsung continues to lead in global shipments in Q3 2021; while Apple launched the Apple iPhone 13 series back to second, but supply still exceeds demand. In terms of domestic manufacturers, Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo ranked three to five respectively.
