However, after listening to Lu Ji's explanation, Yuan Shu was also surprised by Lu Ji's filial piety, so he did not think about it anymore. This story was also selected by Guo Jujing of the Yuan Dynasty into the "Twenty-Four Filial Pieties", which was widely circulated, including a poem praising Lu Jidao:
"Filial piety is nature, a six-year-old child on earth." Green oranges in the sleeves, the widowed mother nursed. ”
Later, due to the illness of his father Lu Kang, the Lu family, which had lost its top pillar, had to attach itself to the Sun family in Jiangdong. Until the twenty-fourth year of Jian'an (219 AD), Lu Ji, who was only 32 years old, unfortunately died of illness. It is worth noting that on the occasion of his death, Lu Ji once prophesied:
"From now on, sixty years away, the car is on the same track, the book is the same text, and I hate it."
It turned out that Lu Ji predicted that after 60 years, the divided world would once again return to unification. Sure enough, in the sixth year of Xianning (280 AD), the Western Jin Dynasty destroyed Sun Wu, ending the division of the Three Kingdoms and reunifying China. 'The present-day commentator does not practice the art of morality, but only shangwu, although his achievements are childish, he has not been safe. ”
At that time, when he was only a teenager, Lu Ji profoundly realized that it was far from enough to make people surrender by force alone.
