Today, after review, the Third Branch of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate filed a public prosecution against defendant Sun Wenbin with the Beijing Municipal Third Intermediate People's Court for intentional homicide.
The case was investigated by the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and transferred to the Third Branch of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate for review and prosecution on December 30, 2019. After accepting the case, the procuratorial organs fully guaranteed the procedural rights of defendant Sun Wenbin in accordance with law, interrogated the defendant, and listened to the opinions of the defender and the victim's close relatives. The case materials transferred by the public security organs were carefully examined.
The Third Branch of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate indicted the accusation that defendant Sun Wenbin killed Yang Wen with a sharp knife prepared in advance at about 6 o'clock on December 24, 2019, in the emergency room of the Emergency Department of the Civil Aviation General Hospital, taking advantage of the fact that the doctor Yang Wen (female, aged 51) who was on duty was not prepared.
The Third Branch of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate held that defendant Sun Wenbin deliberately and illegally deprived others of their lives and caused death, and should be investigated for criminal responsibility for intentional homicide, and decided to file a public prosecution with the Beijing Municipal Third Intermediate People's Court.
