In Taiwanese politics, the plot has been repeated repeatedly

At two o'clock in the morning of October 17, Huang Guoshu, a representative of the Democratic Progressive Party," posted on social media, admitting that he had been an informant of the Taiwan authorities decades ago, announcing his withdrawal from the DPP, withdrawing from the operation of the party caucus, and not seeking re-election after the expiration of the current term of office as a "legislator."

Previously, the 57-year-old Huang Guoshu's future was not only to be re-elected as a "legislator", but also a popular candidate for the next mayor of Taichung. Suddenly, he ended his political life prematurely.

As far as Huang Guoshu, a member of the DPP's "New Trend Department," the disaster that caused xiao wall came from itself. At the beginning of this year, when the "new trend" was consulting the archives of the "promotion meeting" of the authorities and checking the records of his past surveillance, he found a number of clues confirming that Huang Guoshu had been serving as an "informant" since he was a student, after graduation, and even after entering the Democratic Progressive Party. The "New Trend Department" held a meeting a few months ago to decide to remove Huang Guoshu from his name and not to continue to send Huang Guoshu to run for the next term of "legislator."

On the night of October 18, Lin Zhongzheng, a former "legislator" of the Democratic Progressive Party, broke the news that the first chairman of the DPP was a long-term undercover agent sent by the "Bureau of Investigation." Many people's first reaction was to think of Hsieh Chang-ting, the current "representative in Japan" who once served as chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party.

The plot has to be unexpected. On October 19, former DPP Chairman Shi Mingde confirmed that the "long-term undercover" was Jiang Pengjian, the first DPP chairman. Jiang Pengjian co-founded the Democratic Progressive Party in 1986 and was elected as the first party chairman, but died in December 2000. Shi Mingde confirmed that after Jiang Pengjian found out that he was terminally ill with cancer, he took the initiative to confess to Shi Mingde that his original task was to monitor Shi Mingzheng, Shi Mingde's brother. Jiang Pengjian left behind many materials that can support the truth that was uncertain at that time.

At this time, Xie Changting actually took the initiative to hit the muzzle of the gun, claiming that Shi Mingde did not tell the truth. The plot provided by Xie Changting is: Jiang Pengjian personally told him that he was admitted to the "Investigation Bureau" of the intelligence department, but in the end he did not go.

In 2008, when Hsieh Chang-ting ran for the leadership of the Taiwan region on behalf of the Democratic Progressive Party, he was accused by then "legislator" Qiu Yi of being an "informant of the Bureau of Investigation" and an "informant." Xie Changting later went to court to sue Qiu Yi for defamation, and lost all three trials. In 2010, Hsieh Chang-ting wrote to the DPP's Changhui to clarify that he was by no means an "informant." Xie Changting repeatedly used methods such as litigation and writing letters to clarify, but never achieved results.

"Informants", "spies", "netizens", "whistleblowers", each with different names, are all undercover in "Infernal Affairs". The "net" of "netizens" is not the Internet, but the so-called intelligence network of the Taiwan authorities' intelligence management system. For those who take on "secret missions" in their student years, there is also a name for "professional students". On the island, these titles are less common than a Hokkien word - "grabbing a rake boy".

In 2008, before Hsieh Changting was exposed as a "rake grabber," the Xie camp had accused rival Ma Ying-jeou of being a "professional student." In 2021, no one cares what Ma Ying-jeou did when he was a student, and the real "professional student" Huang Guoshu was testified by the DPP's own family and surfaced.

On October 19, Su Zhenchang, head of the administrative organ of the DPP authorities, tried to throw the storm at the KMT, with the logic that "the current chairman of the KMT should bear everything the KMT did that year." However, Su Zhenchang, who also served as chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party, is destined to enter the whirlpool together.

Su Zhenchang, Jiang Pengjian and Xie Changting were all defense lawyers in the "Formosa Boulevard Incident". For the DPP, founded in 1986, the "Formosa Boulevard Incident" in Kaohsiung on December 10, 1979, cannot be overemphasized. The defense lawyer in that case also had Chen Shui-bian. The defendants defended were Shi Mingde, Annette Lu and Chen Ju.

All of the above-mentioned lawyers and defendants have served as the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party. On October 21, Shi Mingde's wife, Chen Jiajun, posted that the defense lawyers for the "Formosa Boulevard Incident" were strangers to the defendants at the time, with the exception of You Qing and Annette Lu's brother Lu Chuansheng, who had no origins at all; during the trial, none of the defendants dared to trust them, so "they should all reasonably suspect that they were agents arranged by the Kuomintang." Claims about "grabbing rake boys" among the defense lawyers for the "Formosa Boulevard Incident" have been circulating for many years. In 2010, Shi Mingde published a book and was interviewed to disclose that Xie Changting was not the only one who had been an "informant", and pointed out the names of Chen Shuibian and Su Zhenchang.

Exactly which DPP chairman and DPP key roles have served as "grabbing rake boys" may be an eternal mystery. For example, in the "Formosa Boulevard Incident", in which the DPP chairman was produced in batches, the defense lawyers were more suspicious and the defendants were relatively innocent. But, who knows, if more evidence and a complete truth are revealed, it could lead to yet another upheaval.

The evidence is not entirely absent. The "fall of Huang Guoshu" this time is the information obtained by "comrades of the same party" in the "promotion meeting." The so-called "Committee for Promoting Transitional Justice," originally an institution set up by the DPP to liquidate the KMT, has finally become a tool for the DPP's infighting. Facing the 2022 county mayor election and the 2024 Taiwan regional leader and public opinion representative election, the DPP party forces that have been laid out in advance have proved:

The DPP is an insider in the fight

Infighting is just as expert!
