Rhodiola Deqin is a perennial herb that begins to flower after mid-summer, with the inflorescence growing like a small umbrella. At first, the flowers are yellowish green, and when the flowers are about to bloom, they will become dark red. We can see that on one side of the lake in the photo, the flowers are still yellow-green on one side of the lake, while the other side of the flower color begins to turn red. This may be because the reddish side has better light conditions, so the flowers bloom earlier.
At present, there are about 90 species in the genus Rhodiola known worldwide, mainly in the northern hemisphere, the boreal zone and high altitudes. There are 55 species known in China, of which 16 are endemic.
