On the afternoon of October 29, the People's Court News and Media Corporation invited representatives of judges of grass-roots courts in Beijing to visit the "Exhibition of Rule of Law Film and Television Works Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" and held a film viewing forum for the film "The Last Trial" to listen to the opinions and suggestions of judges from the grass-roots frontline on the film and television publicity work of the people's courts. The judges spoke freely and expressed their voices around the court's film and television creation, judges' character shaping, and film and television popularization forms.
In the film and television exhibition hall, judges zhao Yan, Sun Lei, Feng Xiaoguang, Wang Bingying, Qin Shuo, Li Tianjia, Xin Chongzeng and other judges from the Beijing court systematically reviewed the excellent rule of law film and television works in different periods under the guidance of the narrator. They stopped from time to time in front of the exhibition board of court-themed works, cherished the content of some of them, and some also fondly recalled their experience of participating in film and television shooting, lamenting the difficulty of film and television creation.

In the film and television room of the Film and Television Center of the Supreme People's Court, the judges watched the new film "The Last Trial", which had just obtained a public release license. Written by Hu Yongsheng, a judge at the Xintai Municipal People's Court in Shandong Province, this film tells the touching story of an old judge who is about to retire in a grass-roots court in the context of the era of rural revitalization, who feels remorse for the flaws in the case entity when handling the last case before retirement, and vigorously promotes the retrial of the case and resolutely upholds fairness and justice, showing the professional conscience and professional honor of the people's judges in the new era. The film has signed a distribution agreement with the China Propaganda Film Digital Program Management Center, which will be distributed to rural areas through rural theaters, and the distribution of movie channels and online platforms is also being promoted according to procedures.

They affirmed the film's creative perspective on the front-line judges of grass-roots courts, believing that the lead actor Li Mengnan vividly and vividly created the image of a grass-roots judge, and the film better showed the work scenes of grass-roots courts and the daily working conditions of judges. Everyone believes that the release of the film will further give play to the leading role of advanced and typical demonstrations, inspire and encourage the vast number of cadres and policemen in the court to maintain a fighting posture of loyally performing their duties and working hard and enterprising, and make greater contributions to the people's judicial cause and compose a more beautiful chapter.
At the forum, everyone put forward many good opinions and suggestions on the film and television creation of the people's courts, hoping to shoot more influential court-themed film and television works, create a rich and diverse image of the judges' silver screen, and build a bridge between judges and the masses through the film and television art forms that the people like to hear, so as to more effectively disseminate legal knowledge, cultivate the awareness of the rule of law, and carry forward the spirit of the rule of law.
