Recommend Mr. Meng Zhen's "Poetry Innocence" small article

author:Ao Ho

The second chapter of the Analects of Wei Zheng recounts Confucius's views on the Poems: Three hundred poems, in a word, are called 'thinking innocence'.

What is "innocence of thought"?

Zhu Xi quoted Cheng Yi's words: Thinking innocently, sincerity.

"Sincerity" means true feelings, not hypocrisy, not falsehood, and "evil" is the meaning of "Xu Xu", that is, swallowing and spitting, saying and not saying, not saying or wanting to say, and not daring to express the chest directly.

Therefore, after being taught by Confucius and Cheng Zhu, whenever I met a girl I admired, I would express my chest in front of her, and they would either be scared away by me, or call me a hooligan, or call me a hooligan while running.

And watch Mr. Meng Zhen teach me how to read "Poetry".

Mr. Hu Shi gave a speech at the second anniversary of Fu Si Nian's death: "Meng Zhen is one of the rarest and rarest geniuses in the world. He has the strongest memory, as well as the strongest understanding and judgment. He can do the most delicate embroidery needle kung fu, and he has the most daring axe skills. He was the most learned man, and at the same time the most capable and well-organized natural leader. He combines many rare talents in one world. Some people say that his feelings are the strongest, often explosive, and at the same time the most gentle and rational person. Such people are not easy to get in a country, but even in the world it is not easy to find many. ”

Mr. Meng Zhen began by saying that "since the Jin dynasty, there have been many people who have purely appreciated its words", and it is me, my shallow intellect is only enough to peek at the "mourning without hurting" of the "poems", but Mr. Meng Zhen is more focused on "but from ancient times to the present, the discussion about it is very complicated", he then listed the discussions about "poetry" for more than two thousand years, which is not a super memory, and cannot be listed without the most delicate embroidery needle kung fu.

Mr. Meng Zhen said in the chapter "The Study of Poetry in the Western Han Dynasty": "From Mencius onwards, the Book of Poetry surpassed Confucius's 'primary education' and entered the political philosophy of Confucianism. Mencius said: 'The traces of the king are extinguished and the poems die, and the poems die and are composed in the spring and autumn'. He boldly deduced that "this is simply the words of the Confucians of the early Han Dynasty." The reason he deduced was that "Mencius's discussion of the "Poems" is very luxurious, and it is not at all to study the "Poems" as words, to think that they are happy, and to attach some historical events, which is not true, such as 'Rong Di is The Gong, Jing Shu is the Punishment' and echoes the Zhou Gong." This kind of custom was extremely popular in the early Han Dynasty. "This is not the strongest comprehension and judgment that cannot be inferred.

As for how we should study the poem, he summed it up like this:

We should have three attitudes: first, to appreciate his writings; second, to use him as a bunch of extremely valuable historical materials to sort out; and third, to use him as a book of extremely valuable ancient linguistic materials.

This is not something that cannot be summed up by the rarest and rarest geniuses.

The ancients said that "opening the book is beneficial" is actually incomplete, "opening a good volume" is "beneficial", Mr. has been gone from us for seventy years, he may not have thought that books in modern society have been reduced to the same commodity, and most of the authors are not written for learning, not for interest, not for faith.

On the basis of the pre-Qin, Western Han, Song, and Ming dynasties, mr. Li's book draws on the strengths of all the people and inherits the past, and the excerpts I have excerpted are only a few words but not a leopard, if you want to appreciate the far-reaching history of the book and the profound thoughts of Mr. Li, you still need to read it yourself.

In 1927, when Mr. Hu Shi had a small gathering in Paris, he scolded Ding Zaijun: "If I see Ding Wenjiang, I must kill him!" Later, Mr. Ding met Ding Zaijun in Beijing, and the two met and hated each other late. When Ding Zaijun was critically ill in Changsha, mr. Ding rushed from Beiping to see him.

This is Mr. Meng Zhen, a first-class stick in learning, a first-class stick in character, a first-level stick in "Thinking Innocence", and a first-class stick in "Poetry Innocence".
