The Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources recently released news that after surveying, the bureau found a very large gold mine in Tongbai County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, with an estimated gold reserve of 31.55 tons.

On October 28, the reporter came to the hillside of Guanyi Village, Zhuzhuang Town, Tongbai County, where the exploration well was running and the machine roared.

Wang Haisheng, senior engineer of the Third Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources: A total of 16 gold ore bodies were found, with an average thickness of 1 meter to 3 meters, and the gold grade ranged from 1.15 grams per ton to 56.9 grams per ton.

In the courtyard of the Geological Exploration Project Department of Weishan City, Zhuzhuang Town, Tongbai County, rows of rock cores are neatly arranged. These cores are excavated from exploration wells, sequenced and analyzed.

Wang Yong, senior engineer of the Third Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources: Gold ore is rich in fine veined metal sulphide pyrite, and pyrite is the main gold-carrying mineral, which is determined to be gold ore by cutting samples and sending it to the laboratory for analysis according to relevant national standards.

According to the estimation of experts from the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources of Henan Province, the total gold reserves obtained in this exploration are 31.55 tons, and the follow-up work is expected to obtain 50 tons of gold reserves, which is a very large gold mine. The gold mine also produced or associated 456 tons of silver, 100,000 tons of lead and 90,000 tons of zinc.
