According to the Zhangzhou News Network on October 31, the reporter learned from the relevant departments of Zhangpu County that in recent years, the King Kong shrimp has quickly become the new favorite of the shrimp farmers in Zhangpu County with its advantages of high temperature resistance, wide salinity and strong stress resistance, helping shrimp farmers to quickly increase their income and become rich, and becoming a major highlight in the revitalization of rural industries.

King Kong shrimp, also known as penaeus monodon, is native to Mozambique, Africa, introduced to China in 2009, with fast growth rate, high price, less disease, and can be listed in about three months. It is similar to the growth requirements of the currently farmed Penaeus monodon, which is convenient for farmers to change the breeding species.

"In 2020, the scale of the cooperative aquaculture high pond is 30, and the rotation mode of raising diamond shrimp in summer and cultivating White Shrimp in winter is adopted, and the maximum yield of diamond shrimp per bite is about 12,000 jin, and the average profit per mouth is about 40,000 yuan." Lin Lixi, head of Zhangpu County Liyuan Aquatic Products Professional Cooperative, introduced. The rapid rise of kingfish farming has led to a new market in the fields of local seedlings, feed, animal protection and other fields, which not only makes up for the gap in the consumption end of shrimp, but also meets the demand for new species at the breeding end.

It is understood that zhangpu county successfully held the first king of king shrimp conference this year, and invited the shrimp branch of the China Fisheries Association, the China Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association, the Fujian Aquatic Technology Promotion Station and other units to guide the meeting, further improve the breeding technology of regional farmers, promote the transformation and upgrading of the shrimp industry, and improve quality and efficiency.
