On June 16, 2021, Chen Peiyu, a calligrapher in Tangshan, Hebei Province, and Chen Peiyu, the online editor-in-chief of the China Public Welfare Recorder, Wang Jingqiu, a calligrapher, a retired police officer from the Steel City Branch of the Tangshan Municipal Public Security Bureau, Jin Gong, a calligrapher and general manager of Tangcheng Yipin Decoration Company, and Qu Yanzhen, principal of Tangshan Tiange Art School, drove to Visit Liu Cheng, a 92-year-old veteran, in Guozhuangzi Village, Tangquan Manchu Township, Zunhua City.
Liu Cheng, born in 1930, Zunhua City Tangquan Manchu, township Guozhuangzi village people, joined the army in 1946, machine artillery company soldiers, successively participated in the Liaoshen Campaign, Pingjin Campaign, in the attack on Tianjin Jingangqiao battle wounded, hospitalized after 1949 retired to return to this village. Elder Liu Cheng told the calligraphers and his party that the scene of his attack on Siping and Tianjin was quite tragic, and he took the calligrapher's hands and said with emotion: The soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army are not afraid of sacrifice for the establishment of new China, they are brave enough to kill the enemy, everyone is a hero, you must also learn from the glorious traditions of the People's Liberation Army, always follow the party, serve the people, and be a really good person!
Listening to the narration of the elderly Liu Cheng and the words of the elderly, the calligraphers and their party received patriotic education. The calligrapher Wang Jingqiu made a poem for the elderly Liu Cheng, "Liu Junshao Xiaozhi joined the army, Cheng Qiandao defended the country, the guns and bullets were outstanding, and the disabled zhi was an immortal god", and after writing it, he gave it to the old man Liu Cheng and took a group photo to commemorate it.
The calligraphers also splashed ink on the spot and wrote 20 calligraphy works with the theme of praising the party, praising the motherland, and praising people's beautiful life, which were presented to Guozhuangzi Village in Tangquan Manchu Township, Zunhua City, and were praised by the leaders of the village.
Zhang Qingyun, secretary of the party branch of Guozhuangzi Village in Tangquan Manchu Township, Zunhua City, said that he was very grateful to the calligraphers of Tangshan City for visiting the 92-year-old veteran liu cheng in our village, and wrote and donated calligraphy works to our village.
