Now that the face-to-face teaching has just ended, Ah Fu summed up some of the main problems encountered in the counseling in the past few days and talked about his feelings and opinions. First, their mistakes are difficult to find on their own, but they usually feel good about themselves.

People have the instinct of self-appreciation, and it is not easy to find their own faults, especially in learning boxing. Therefore, always ask the teacher for advice, ask the boxers for advice. The trainees who participated in the face-to-face training this time did a good job in this regard, while learning and training, while letting me correct right and wrong, so most of the problems that appeared in the learning and training can be corrected and improved in time, so everyone is making rapid progress.

Second, the problems that occur when fighting and pushing hands to try strength are also the mistakes that occur when they usually practice boxing.

Therefore, we can find problems and find our own problems by fighting hard. The next step is to correct your own problems by performing fist walking thousands of times, so that every move and style is in line with the rules, the fist is reasonable, and finally they become muscle memory, into the habits and instincts of body movement. At that time, if you try it again, you will win.

Third, changing your own power habits is a big difficulty, it is difficult to change, but as long as you break through, your kung fu will come out.

Why is it so hard to change?

The first reason is that the exercise habits formed over many years are not easy to change. The second reason is that your subconscious mind is not easy to change.

What to do?

First, establish new habits of thought and constantly reinforce them.

For example, in the past, when our hands were forced, they immediately hardened at the point of contact, and the whole arm was stiff. Now, always remind yourself: "The hands are not top, the forces are together, and the crotches are taken over." And with each stroke of the action, it is necessary to repeat and repeat this sentence in the mind continuously, at the same time. Over time, our shallow consciousness will change.

Second, regulate every action with the rules of the fist.

As long as you practice boxing and practicing in this way, accumulate over time, grow over time, and slowly accumulate, you will eventually establish a new way of movement and completely change the original scattered and disorganized acquired exercise habits.

Fourth, usually self-training is the mainstay, when you have the opportunity to participate in face-to-face teaching, you must try your hand with teachers and other students.

Pushing hands are not pushed casually, and Ah Fu does not recommend using double pushers to play the wheel (this is the most common way of pushing hands in tai chi), which can easily make you turn it into push-hand gymnastics and lose the true meaning of finding strength and trying.

"Virtual collar top strength" is not to "virtual lead up" on the line, this will be everyone, more importantly, to pull up the cervical vertebrae and the entire spine, this is actually not easy, without the guidance of the master is difficult to understand and do right.

"Sinking shoulders and falling elbows" is not something that can be done just by thinking about it. If the shoulders and shoulder blades are not open, it is difficult for you to sink your shoulders. Falling elbow is not a simple fall, it must also be placed at the right height and angle, to play the role of pulling the shoulder blade, to be able to connect the force of the spine and the force of the forearm.

Many people have also done it wrong, and its main point is to pull the back rather than the chest. Pulling back contains two meanings at the same time, one is left and right pair pulling, and the other is up and down pulling, that is, cross strength. As long as the back is pulled up, the chest will naturally contain. Many people deliberately contained their breasts, and the result was that the back became a pot. Kung Fu is not practiced, and it is harmful to physical health.

The students' desire to practice kung fu is understandable, but Ah Fu should first say what is the key to practicing real strength (internal strength)?

It is the legs and feet that must be strong, the hands that are strong, and the force of the feet that are passed through to the hands. But everyone is either weak in their hands, or their arms are too stiff to catch the force and can't send people. Why?

In addition to the problem of the hand itself, the main reason is that there is no kung fu in the next plate, the legs are too soft, and the tendons are too weak.

How to practice the next kung fu?

Different schools and martial arts have their own methods. In the exercises taught by Ah Fu, the living pile and the splitting fist are very effective. Originally, I was going to only tutor and correct the living steps, but the students who participated in the face-to-face class this time were already learning or preparing to learn shape and meaning boxing, so they specially taught the three-body style and split boxing.

The method of walking down the arc of the crotch of the live step pile and fixing the front leg on the front knee can quickly practice the crotch strength and the strength of the leg, and can quickly improve the kung fu of the next plate. The chicken leg and locust worm step of the split fist also serve the same effect. As long as the kung fu of the next plate is combined with the practice training of the upper plate, it will soon be able to practice the internal strength of the inner fist such as the strength of the inner fist, such as the spring strength.

But these two exercises are easy to learn and difficult to practice, and the shape and action are easy, but the details are not easy to master. If you practice a little wrongly, you may be a millimeter, and if you are wrong, it will become gymnastics or ordinary walking again. However, as long as the practice is correct, the legs are very difficult, and it will soon be sore, but the effort is also very fast.

Seventh, the progress of boxing is not afraid to be slow, as long as the practice is right, as long as it is persistent, sooner or later there will be kung fu. But if the practice is wrong and the direction is not right, then how many years of practice is just a waste of time, and in the end nothing will be achieved.

How can I practice correctly? To find a teacher who understands. If your teacher has not practiced, and he himself has no kung fu, you are even less likely to do kung fu. Now many masters who teach boxing say it very well and make sense, but you don't think he must have kung fu, you have to see if he can do it. Speaking of not being able to do it, you have to put a big question mark on what level you can learn from him.

In the face-to-face teaching, Ah Fu practiced it many times, demonstrating to the trainees what is the internal strength, how the hand-to-foot force goes through a cycle in the body, how the strength is changed by the crotch, how the virtual and real changes of the feet are done, how the vertical strength comes from, how the horizontal strength is broken, how to send out the mixed circle force, and so on. Some students are asked to use their hands to touch how the tendons are twisted, how the joints are opened and closed, and how the force runs from the foot to the hand and from the hand to the foot. There are many times when the sensations and memories of the body are more useful and profound than the preaching of a thousand words.

Finally, on the issue of the learning style of Neijiaquan, Ah Fu talked about his own suggestions.

The combination of online tutoring and face-to-face teaching is a very realistic and effective way to learn boxing. In modern society, everyone has to run for their livelihood, and few people can learn from the master every day, especially when the teacher is hundreds of kilometers away from you. Therefore, I usually learn through the Internet and video, and practice more and speculate more. Every once in a while to find a teacher in person to tutor for a few days or ten days, the progress will be very fast. Ah Fu did this a few years ago when he learned the True Transmission Ofaka Fist.

If the teacher has opened an online tutoring, usually there is online tutoring and correction, as long as you take the initiative to ask more questions, send more of your own practice videos, most of the problems will be solved and corrected in time. My online students did just that, but unfortunately I didn't have such a service when I learned True Transmission Ofi. The above usual learning is combined with short-term face-to-face teaching, and the effect is more ideal.

Neijiaquan cannot be completely self-taught, and you must find a master you recognize. The master and apprentice are fateful, and the famous teachers that others like may not be on the right path with you, that is, it is not suitable for you, so don't force it.
