Graduated from the Department of Business Administration of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in her early years, in 1975, Mary Zhang participated in the Miss Hong Kong contest and successfully won the championship award.
After the beauty pageant, Zhang Mari became a choreographer assistant, and then switched to Li's TV (formerly ATV) as the emcee of the program.
