First of all, the teachers watched an English picture book demonstration teaching class "Mini the superhero" by Mr. Sha Qiwen of the Affiliated Primary School of Shandong University, the teacher's teaching design is novel, taking the school bag in the picture book picture as the starting point, from shallow to deep, step by step, leading students to understand the hero in the notebook, the hero in life, and then guide everyone to become a hero! Carry out multi-dimensional interaction, guide students to actively participate, activate students' thinking, improve their interest in English learning, and effectively achieve teaching goals.
In the process of evaluating and discussing lessons, the teachers of the teaching and research team of the center spoke one after another, proposing that in the teaching of English picture books, teachers should use picture book diagrams to create situations, use picture books to expand knowledge, and skillfully use picture books to solve problems; Every picture book is a wonderful world, and it is the responsibility of every teacher to go into the hearts and minds of children and find the world they love. Picture book teaching should break the stereotype, skillfully set up problem chains, experience richly, realize the unity of English instrumentality and humanism, and pay attention to cultivating students' core literacy.
Subsequently, the teachers watched Professor Wang Qiang's lecture on "Focusing on Graded Reading of Picture Books" of Beijing Normal University, the requirements for students' English reading literacy in the standard curriculum standards, according to the cognitive development needs and language development levels of students at different ages, the teachers recommended each other with rich reading materials and genres, hoping to gradually develop students' reading strategies in daily teaching and make them develop good reading habits. At the same time, it is believed that graded reading currently lacks a scientific, systematic, and effective graded reading teaching method, and front-line English teachers should actively practice and build an English graded reading system that conforms to the law of primary school students' ability development.
Finally, Zhang Qiufang, a teacher and researcher of the English subject in primary schools in Zhongyuan District, affirmed the teaching and research mode of teachers focusing on the theme and promoting research with lessons, and at the same time put forward requirements for the teaching of English picture books in primary schools: the foothold of picture book teaching is to cultivate students' reading literacy, cultural character, thinking quality, etc. In their daily teaching, in addition to building a knowledge network, the most important thing is to build a student's thinking framework.
