JJ Redick, who announced the end of his 15-year playing career this summer, is about to join ESPN as a commentator.
Redick will make his debut as a commentator in the Nets and Hawks game on Nov. 3. In addition to contributing to many of ESPN's studio programming, Redick will also provide analytics on some of the games this season.
"After 15 years in the NBA, I'm excited to put to good use what I've learned on the court to provide my insights and strong perspective on the game I love." Redick said in a statement, "I'm thrilled to find a place on ESPN, the biggest sports platform. I look forward to starting my post-retirement career in such an incredible organization. ”
This isn't Redick's first foray into the media space, as he launched his own podcast show in 2015 and last year founded ThreeFourTwo Productions, a name that means Redick scores 342 goals every Sunday in the offseason.
