Changzhi is also a place where legends and stories grow. The wind comes from the folk, the masters are in the folk, the dragon and the crouching tiger are hidden here, and the heroes and good Han talents are born. This summer, 33 years after leaving Changzhi, I returned to the Taihang Mountains and returned to the place where the dream began. No, I met a man named Li Haiquan. His story is interesting, and I was particularly impressed with him.

I know Li Haiquan because of Liu Lusheng. Lu Sheng brother is an old friend, literary critic, former deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, is a serious and righteous and personality appeal of the cultural people. He negotiated with the city to organize a meeting for my return to Changzhi, and the venue was arranged at the Jinghai Library. This is a private library, and the owner of the library is Li Haiquan.
That day, Li Haiquan drove to pick us up. He was medium-sized, energetic, and full of long-term speech. He is 61 years old this year, he is a pig, he is neatly dressed, his appearance is not proud, the little old man, at first glance, he is an ordinary citizen. Maybe for a long time, his layer of hair is close to the scalp, and my hometown calls this hairstyle "Mao Dong Melon". Li Haiquan's Jinghai Library, on the 10th floor of Qinfanghui Life Plaza on Maxi Avenue in Changzhi City, covers an area of 400 square meters. Walking into the library, people's eyes will light up. The service area has a bar, a café, green plants, and reading sculptures. The exhibition area has a whole wall cabinet, glass display cabinet, walnut color bookcase. The activity area has long books, small podiums, electronic screens, and audio equipment. Not only is it bathed in the fragrance of books, but it also has a modern, stylish, elegant and casual feel.
Who is this Li Haiquan? Why not hesitate to set up such a high-grade library? What is its original intention and what is its prospects? At the moment when the materialistic impetuous reading shrinks, building such a museum is neither a name nor a profit, what is its value? In the conversations with Li Haiquan and Wenpeng poets in Changzhi City in the next few days, Li Haiquan's image gradually became clear and plump in my mind.
He was born in a humble family in Tumu Lane, South Street, Changzhi City, his parents left early, there were many brothers and sisters, and his life was difficult. At the age of 15, he worked as a temporary worker to earn money to support the family, and the children of the poor were already in charge. But no matter how hard the years were, how bumpy the experience was, and how the road was tossed, his interest and hobby of reading since he was a child have never changed. Until 2000, he set up his own profile co., LTD. as the general manager, and accumulated funds in the shopping mall for ten years, and began to collect books in 2011 and prepare to build a library. This man, a lifelong hobby, has settled in the library.
What started as a book is now nearly 10,000 books; what began as a bookshelf, now it is several counters with several rows of bookshelves; it began as a literary book, and now it is a Jinghai Library that collects historical records, genealogies, biographies, various documents from the southeastern region of Jin and all over the country; it began as a place for books to be read, and now it is a place for cultural activities such as calligraphy and painting, tea narratives, lectures, and new book releases. Li Haiquan said: "As long as you can leave the cultural roots of this land, how much money you spend is worth it." ”
Speaking of which, he started by doing steel business, and the money he earned was used to do cultural undertakings, and such people are really rare. He is not the richest in Changzhi City, but he is the most willing to contribute money in reading and supporting cultural undertakings. The library alone cost more than 100,000 yuan on the bookcase. From the date of opening, the Jinghai Library is open to the public free of charge, providing a place for cultural activities free of charge, he bought this place with his own money, and the various costs of water and electricity properties and other expenses a year will cost tens of thousands of yuan, and also arranged two long-term reception staff to pay them every month. Fortunately, his lover also understood that he supported him, so that his long-cherished wish could be fulfilled. Li Haiquan said to me, "What do you want so much money for?" It is enough to eat, wear and live. We must use the excess money as a public welfare culture! ”

He has many ways to collect books, go to bookstores, surf the Internet, find friends, trust acquaintances, shop for book stalls, and think about running the bookstore well, and run a window into the history, culture, and customs of the land. Once, when he heard that a book friend in Taiyuan had all the books in the first round of revision in 114 counties and cities in Shanxi Province after the founding of New China, he did not hesitate to spend 80,000 yuan to buy this set of precious books. On the day of the opening of the Jinghai Library, Zhao Shuli's granddaughter Zhao Feiyan came to donate copies of Zhao Shuli's manuscripts and precious books to the library. The famous writer Ge Ping came to speak and presented his own books and paintings. At the meeting of the library this time, I also presented Li Haiquan with more than a dozen books of my own. As a Hubei writer, I think it is a happy thing to treasure books in the Jinghai Library. And, in this way, pay tribute to Li Haiquan.
Writing this, you can see that Li Haiquan has a variety of identities, he is both a reader and a bibliophile; he is both an entrepreneur and a local cultural celebrity; he is both a cultural volunteer and a cultural inheritor. He has only one purpose, that is, to preserve the local historical memory of Changzhi, promote local cultural and academic exchanges, and prosper the cultural and artistic undertakings of Changzhi. Jinghai Library currently has a total of 18 categories of books, nearly 10,000 volumes, and more than 800 authors. Li Haiquan collected a thick collection here, gathered sand into a tower, met friends with literature, appreciated culture, fulfilled and continued to open up the dream of a reader, and dedicated the beautiful time in his life to those who love to read and learn. By the way, Li Haiquan is still a writer, and he has published two books, "Visiting the Door of the Literati's House" and "Sitting in the Cafe".
