The reporter learned from the urban management department that as of the beginning of October, the daily separation of household kitchen waste in Hulan District reached a new high, reaching 24 tons.
Among the four categories of domestic garbage, residents of recyclables such as waste paper shells and wine bottles will exchange them for money themselves, and there is very little harmful garbage. Therefore, the most daily household garbage generated by ordinary residents is mainly kitchen waste and other garbage. Kitchen waste is the hub link in the waste separation system.
In order to do a good job in garbage classification, Hulan District frequently puts "big moves", and the WeChat mini program "City Garden" helps garbage classification, so that more residents can achieve "source points" in happy homes. In order to guide residents to form behavioral consciousness, the community also created a "red and black list" for garbage classification, guiding residents to actively participate in garbage classification.

Through the source classification of kitchen waste and recyclables, as well as the deepening of source reduction measures, the amount of other waste generated in Hulan District has also been reduced accordingly.
