September 30 this year marks the eighth National Martyrs' Day, a day that every Chinese should remember. In order to consolidate the fundamental task of the school's morality and further strengthen patriotic education, Hsinchu Elementary School launched the "Martyrs' Memorial Day" commemoration activities.
The teachers of each class used the class meeting time to introduce the origin and significance of the "Chinese Martyrs' Memorial Day" to the children, and showed the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs to the team members with pictures, texts, music and other means. Then, the classes organized to watch the live broadcast of the commemoration of the National Memorial Day, and the young members of the team looked seriously and devoted themselves, as if they had traveled through time and space, walked into the war-torn era of the past, felt the revolutionary enthusiasm and dedication of the martyrs who regarded death as a homecoming and the righteousness was awe-inspiring, and were deeply moved and encouraged, and felt how hard it was to come by today's happy life. At the end of the activity, the students wrote down their own testimonials, and wrote their mourning and admiration for the martyrs into one word and one sentence to express their commemoration of the revolutionary martyrs.
Liu Siyan, a student in the sixth class, said that when I was a child, I often heard the teacher say that the red scarf was a corner of the national flag and was dyed red with blood by revolutionary martyrs, and at that time I did not quite understand the meaning; now, when we have grown up, we have gradually understood that we are lucky, and it is countless revolutionary martyrs who have exchanged their blood and lives for our happy life today. We must cherish peace, study hard, and strive to be good teenagers in the new era!
