Attentive citizens will find that
Luan trees on the side of Long Hao's road
Blossom and bear fruit.

Yellow is the flower,
The red one is the fruit,
Like a gemstone
Dotted on the branches,
And like a layer of red clouds floating on the leaves,
Very special.
The staff said that at present, the Luan trees are in full bloom, and some luan trees have borne fruit, thus creating a beautiful landscape of yellow and red, and the public can enjoy the flowers and fruits of the Luan trees at the same time. By October, more capsules will hang on the branches.
Ms. Yang, a citizen, told reporters that compared with the common camphor tree, the luan tree is more gorgeous and brings more colors to the monotonous life.
It is understood that the Luan trees in our district are mainly distributed in the green areas on both sides of Longhao Road (sidewalk trees) and Qianjing Avenue (north of LongquanGang Bridge), and interested citizens can go to take pictures to create unique beautiful photos of exclusive autumn.
Luan tree belongs to the genus Luan tree of the subfamily Apocynaceae, with strong adaptability, love of light, slightly tolerant of semi-shade, hardy, suitable for shade trees, street trees and landscape trees.
The seasonal phase of luan trees is obvious, with strong ornamental characteristics in spring, summer flowers, and autumn and winter fruits. In the spring, the young leaves of luan trees are mostly red leaves, and in summer, the yellow flowers are full of trees, the leaves turn yellow in autumn, the fruit is hollow, the peel is wrapped together like a conical lantern, and when ripe, the fruit is reddish brown or orange-red, often called "lantern fruit". After treatment, the fruit can be used as a medicinal herb, which has the effect of clearing the liver and clarifying the purpose, but due to exposure to the wild, it should not be directly picked and eaten.
Luan tree is also one of the earliest recorded tree species in China, as early as the "Zhou Li" has been recorded, luan leaves contain tannin, and boiled with white cloth to become black dye, so in ancient times people called luan tree "black leaf tree".
