Under the "double reduction" policy, a large number of ordinary education and training industry practitioners either actively or passively leave, where will they go? The International School interviewed four practitioners in the education and training industry online and listened to them share this experience.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="3" > "27 years old, unemployed for 2 months, I don't have much trial and error time anymore"</h1>
Jolie graduate degree in translation master' degree, after graduating in 2019, most of the students have chosen the education industry, some went to public schools, some went to private schools, and she chose to go to online education internship, in her opinion, online education this industry is meaningful, valuable, the development prospects are very good, she likes it.
At that time, Jolie was full of confidence and enthusiasm for this industry: "Online education can sink high-quality educational resources to cities in the second and third tiers and below, which I think is helpful for the development of China's education industry."
Colleagues who work together, carefully polished courses, and children's growth, all allow Jolie to clearly feel his own value, and gain a sense of satisfaction and achievement in the work, "work is that you complete your tasks, play your own value, grow in the work, plus a certain remuneration, which meets most people's expectations for work, and I am the same."
During the epidemic, schools were closed, offline education was blocked, more students and capital flowed to online education, and online education had a small upward period, during which Jolie and colleagues were on standby 24 hours a day at home, and the work was very passionate.
Later, enlightenment education developed, all the major head educational institutions are laying out, Jolie is also very interested, thinking that she may have drilled an outlet, this will be a new track, and before she can develop, the "double reduction" policy was released.
For people in the industry, there was some wind before the "double reduction", but Jolie was still optimistic, she believes that although online education has capital involved, it is still a good thing overall, until the policy is implemented with lightning speed and the bell is implemented, and she is laid off.
"Too fast" Jolie did not react at all, but she also understood that this shows the determination of the country, "from the perspective of national decision-making, this matter may be too important, so at the expense of a small number of people to seek all-round development, in the course of history, there have been several such experiences", she laughed and said that she has witnessed history.
After losing his job, Beijing's monthly rent and personal social security contributions have put Jolie under considerable pressure. Changing careers is also a problem she urgently needs to face.
Jolie still wants to work in a job related to her profession, but the education and training industry is obviously no longer possible, and the interview after interview has also made her doubts. She didn't understand how she could turn her path into a single wooden bridge.
Today, Jolie is also trying some game companies, publishing companies, translation companies, quality education companies, although she has also received some admissions, but there has never been a particularly suitable, 27-year-old age, but also let her dare not choose easily.

Cai Qiqi formally terminated his labor contract on September 10 and lost his job on Teachers' Day.
In fact, as early as the last summer vacation class, she had a premonition that she might face layoffs, but at that time, she was too busy at work and did not enter the market early, which made her regret very much.
This was not the first time Cai Qi's encounter with such a sudden event, she felt that her life had been fluctuating since graduation.
Cai Qi, a graduate of the 20th class, after failing to pass the examination, under the advice of her teacher, she will be sent to a Royal Roads University in Thailand as a Chinese volunteer to broaden her horizons while distracting herself.
The outbreak of the epidemic disrupted this plan, and after waiting for several months without success, Cai Qiqi gave up his assignment and chose direct employment, but at that time, he had missed the best employment opportunity for fresh graduates.
But the endorsement of the famous school and the high school Chinese teacher qualification certificate taken in advance made her look very smooth when looking for a job in the education and training industry, and under the attraction of the Hangzhou talent subsidy policy, she went to Hangzhou, although it was hard, but with a good salary and a generous class fee, she thought it would be a new beginning.
Until the release of the "double reduction" policy, although the summer vacation also has a premonition, but in the end there is no time to react, on September 6, Cai Qi, was interviewed, according to the compensation of n + 1, signed a resignation agreement on the spot, became a member of the laid-off employees in the education and training industry, facing a soul torture common to all education and training people: where should I go next?
K12 was completely destroyed, a large number of highly educated talents poured in, and the job market has completely become a buyer's market, which made Cai Qi think of the cold wave of layoffs in the 90s. The state has made policies, but it has not given effective guidance on the employment direction of ordinary education and training personnel, and can only rely on their own slow exploration.
After signing the resignation agreement on September 6, Cai Qiqi did not stop for a moment, and went to the interview the next day, saying that there was only one policy - "tenacious self-help".
When interviewing small companies, the interviewer said that they were too big and too small, but Cai Qiqi felt that she had nowhere else to go, and she urgently needed a job to make her life "normal".
In the end, she took an offer from a recruiter from an outsourcing company, and the pressure was not great, nine to six in the morning, and weekends and weekends, giving her time to prepare for the civil service.
Her mentality has also changed from the happiness of leaving the education and training industry at the beginning, to the discomfort of unemployment, and then to the calm and confusion now, "This is a repetitive process, it is not clear."
At the end of the universe is a civil servant - after experiencing the failure of examination and research, the obstruction of expatriate assignment, and the layoff, Cai Qiqi embarked on the road of on-the-job preparation preparation, and she also admitted that "if it were not for this time, I probably would not have made such a choice so early."

Xiaoyuanzi is recruited into a head education and training institution in this year, originally just as a guarantee of the offer, but until graduation did not find a more suitable job, the salary of the education and training institution is also quite considerable for fresh graduates, colleagues are relatively young, there is no shelf between the superior and subordinate levels, there is no complex interpersonal relationship, Xiaoyuanzi will do it first.
Of course, she also knew that she had not been doing education and training for a long time, so she thought of working for a year and a half first, and then she would go to the examination for the teaching materials, "but she didn't expect the policy to come so quickly."
After the double reduction policy, the company's three campuses closed two, and the last one survived, and also began to lay off a large number of employees, including small gardens. At first, she was not sad at all, and even a little glad that she had not been here for a long time, and found that she did not like to take classes, and she could take this opportunity to get out of it and re-choose other industries.
But after starting to look for a job, she became confused again, a large number of highly educated teachers were laid off, and she returned to the confused period of graduation and job search, and because of the change of career, Xiaoyuanzi did not dare to find a job to cope with things, and the pressure was quite great.
Beijing once engaged in a recruitment for the education and training industry, but it was all some cleaning and waiter work, which was disappointing.
Xiao Yuanzi also thought about going back to her hometown to take the exam, but the post was too small, and she had lost her status as a fresh graduate. And it was only two months before she went back, which made her feel frustrated that she had fled into the wilderness.
Before entering the education and training industry, Xiao Yuanzi believed that there was no need to go crazy to cram schools, 211/985 was not equal to a successful life, and the road of life was long. It wasn't until she entered the education and training industry and saw the admission score line of the Hangzhou Secondary School Entrance Examination and the admission rate of only half of the middle school entrance examination in many places that she understood that when everyone stood up, no one dared to sit down.
Xiao Yuanzi said that "it is too hard to watch the children's schedule, education is rolled up in successive years, double subtraction is a must", she also looked forward to the day, the university and vocational college can develop together, rather than squeezing the head over the college entrance examination.
She said that she was very much in favor of the original intention of double reduction, but there was some chill in the measures.

In 2013, after graduating from the bachelor's degree, Heather entered the Beijing head education and training industry professor IELTS. At that time, the study abroad industry developed very well, the demand was strong, and there were often large-scale lectures and forecast conferences, especially in the winter and summer vacations, which were lined up to attend classes, and the classrooms that usually received consultations also needed to increase desks and chairs.
Heather loves the job and intends to keep doing it because it is not her "forced choice", but "first choice". When learning IELTS, she met a very good IELTS teacher, and while teaching her to apply what she learned, it also made her whole person better and better, and she hoped to become such a teacher herself.
A year later, with a good opportunity, Heather went to England to pursue graduate studies.
After returning to China in 16 years, in order to contact students of different ages, exercise her thinking, and enrich her teaching experience, she worked part-time in several other institutions for a period of time, but some institutions seriously did not match the propaganda content and teaching content, and the teaching was also quite chaotic, which made her very disappointed. Therefore, she chose to return to her old employer, but went to Shenzhen, where the need to study abroad is more.
Because he did a very good job, with the idea of doing it all the time, Heather constantly thought about how to improve himself, study, examine, and make up for his shortcomings in language education, and he also went to the United States to study TESOL in the middle of the way, planning to engage in Chinese training.
At the end of 2019, the epidemic is coming, people at home can't go out, foreign people can't come in, the demand for going abroad is declining, the source of students is also decreasing, Heather is also thinking, is it going to be unemployed? But fortunately, it survived.
In the process of teaching TOEFL IELTS over the years, Heather found that reading and listening give people a very different feeling, with a strong contrast between logic and language use, and she found language very interesting. In September 2020, in his spare time, Heather decided to continue to promote himself and apply for a Master of Linguistics from the University of Hong Kong.
This year, she had already received an offer from HKU before the "double minus" policy was officially released, so for her, everything seemed to have little impact, and she said she thanked herself for her continuous efforts.
For the "double reduction" policy, Heather is also very supportive, after all, there are thousands of institutions, and there are many black hearts, and she hopes that after this battle, the industry can develop healthily and children can gain something.
Finally, Heather told us that the current policy of studying abroad is still unclear, but in the future, Heather also hopes to continue to work on study abroad education, and she laughs and says that "I hope that the policy can treat us well."
