Continuation: Yu Pai Shaolin Martial Arts: An Unprecedented Shaolin Transmission Technique

After the "Yu Family Shaolin Martial Arts" was introduced to Shaolin, due to the different generations of famous masters teaching according to their aptitudes, teaching differently, and later scholars felt differently, each person formed their own style characteristics, and a new genre was born, so the Yu School of Shaolin was divided into several sects, such as Luohan Gate, King Kong Gate, Weituo Gate, Erlang Gate, Great Saint Gate and so on. However, in the end, it is not far from the basic characteristics of the Shaolin martial arts of the Yu School.

The Yu school of Shaolin martial arts was transmitted from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China, and over the past 360 years, it has continued to flourish, making the Yu school Shaolin martial arts one of the three major schools of Shaolin martial arts in Henan. During the seventeen years of the Republic of China, the warlords were in a scuffle, and the three departments of the Feng clan commander Shi You used artillery fire to bombard the Jiang warlord Fan Zhongxiu, who was entrenched in the temple, and the fire burned for more than forty days before it was gradually extinguished. This is the first fire that the Shaolin Temple has suffered from the Yuan Dynasty to the end of the year to the present, and it is also the largest of the three fires that the Shaolin Temple has suffered in history, leaving few buildings and treasures in the courtyard, burning all the martial arts treasures, most of the martial monks in the temple are killed and injured, and the rest are scattered and fled. At this point, the Yu school of Shaolin martial arts was lost in the Shaolin Temple.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Liang Heling, a native of JiXian County, Henan Province, had a wealthy family and had been fond of martial arts since childhood, so he asked a Shaolin martial monk to teach it at home, and the true transmission of Shaolin martial arts was obtained by Yu. Become a famous Shaolin boxer, good at double crutches, especially good at light skills of hanging pictures on the wall. Due to the shackles of his own conservative thinking, he was unable to widely pass on the martial arts he had learned to future generations, and only passed it on to his nephew, Mr. Liang Hanxun.

Liang Hanxun, also known as An Shi, is a native of West Guandexi Street, JiXian County, Henan. Because he was weak and sick when he was young, in order to strengthen his body and get rid of the disease, he practiced the Shaolin martial arts of the Yu Sect with his uncle, and after a little longer, because he admired the magic of the techniques in the fist, he exercised painstakingly, studied with perseverance, and did his true truth. In the summer of 1926, he graduated from the tenth class of the private Chinese university in Beijing. During the study period, he also studied the fists of the Shaolin LiuheMen under the guidance of Liu Dekuan, the high foot of the big gun Liu Dekuan. In 1938, he served in Zhengzhou as the chief instructor of the Kuomintang 92nd Army, teaching with the title. In 1948, he moved to Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, and died in Guiyang City on April 8, 1967 due to ineffective treatment for cancer. Because of his approachability, his lifelong teaching of boxing and countless scholars, the Yu school of Shaolin martial arts was widely spread. In addition to Henan and Shandong, the Yupai Shaolin martial arts are mainly spread in the Guiyang area and Jiangxi Province. (Li Lianggen)
