On the morning of October 29, the "Peking University Alumni Seven Cities Relay Run" offline running Zhengzhou Station and Alumni Forum was held in our school. Our school is the fifth stop of the Peking University Alumni Seven Cities Relay Run, and the only route among the seven routes located on the university campus.
Gao Xiang, deputy director of the Department of Physical Education and Health Art Education of the Department of Education of Henan Province, Xu Shu, president of the Guangdong Alumni Association of Peking University, Cao Jun, alumnus of Peking University and vice president of the Shenzhen Mountaineering Association, Peng Yuancai, vice president of the Shenzhen Alumni Association of Peking University in Guangdong Province, partner of Huatang Investment and Caiying Capital, Yang Xuemei, vice president of the Henan Alumni Association of Peking University, postdoctoral fellow of Peking University and president of our school, Yang Junliang, alumnus of Peking University and president of Zhengzhou Preschool Normal College, Guo Yubing, director of the Academic Affairs Office of Zhengzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Yang Baocheng, an alumnus of Peking University and vice president of our university, as well as alumni of Peking University Guangdong Alumni Association and Henan Alumni Association and some media friends attended the event.
The opening ceremony of the "Peking University Alumni Seven Cities Relay Run" offline run zhengzhou station was presided over by Luo Yu, vice president of our school.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Gao Xiang pointed out that the party's education policy clearly requires that sports are an important part of the five educations at the same time. Peking University clearly required the establishment of physical education classes as early as the Beijing Normal University period, and in 1905, the first Sports Games of Peking University were opened, and for the first time, the physical education ideology of "sports is an important means of cultivating national integrity" was put forward, and sports and education were closely linked with the fate of the nation-state. Yellow River Institute of Science and Technology, as the country's first private ordinary university, is a banner of China's private universities, 36 years since its establishment, the school attaches great importance to sports work, attaches importance to the improvement of students' physical health quality, the school sports systematization, digitalization, wisdom of the reform, to promote the province's college sports work has made a positive contribution. Here, I wish the participating athletes of the Peking University Alumni Association to run excellent results, run out of health, and let us practice: exercise for one hour a day and live happily for a lifetime.
Subsequently, after the warm-up action of teachers and students of our school and the alumni of Peking University, the relay run officially began with Yang Baocheng firing the gun. The relay run starts from the academic lecture hall, passes through Inspiration Road, Dedication Road, No. 1 Gymnasium, Maker Factory, Science and Engineering Experimental Building, Art Center, Wisdom Hall, Information Square, etc., and finally returns to the Academic Lecture Hall.
After the relay run, the Alumni Forum was held in the conference room on the first floor of the Information Building of our university. Wang Junsheng, deputy secretary general of the Henan Alumni Association of Peking University, member of the party committee of our university, director of the Propaganda Department, and director of the Information Center, presided over the meeting.
Yang Xuemei delivered a speech. She said that the current Henan is an unprecedented Henan, a Henan full of opportunities, and a hot land for entrepreneurship everywhere, and The people of Peking University will show their skills and make great achievements in Henan. I hope that we can take this forum as an opportunity to further promote the exchanges and cooperation between the Yellow River Institute of Science and Technology and Peking University, further strengthen the interaction and cooperation between Henan and Peking University, and hope that more Peking University people will continue to carry forward the glorious tradition and academic spirit of Peking University and devote themselves to the new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country. This forum was held in our school, which is not only an affirmation of our work, but also an encouragement, I hope that all alumni can speak freely and express their insights, and sincerely hope that everyone will put forward more valuable opinions and suggestions on our work.
In his speech, Cao Jun emphasized two points of understanding. First of all, the function of sports as education is becoming more and more important; secondly, sports is not a simple sport and competition, but the concept of life science and technology, which will serve our health management in the future, belongs to the field of big health and life science and technology, and covers a very rich scientific and technological content. In the future, we will give education functions and life science and technology functions in the field of sports, and enhance the technical content of sports, the status of sports people and the guiding role in this industry.
Subsequently, Yang Baocheng introduced the development of our school from the aspects of development history, school running conditions, party building and government, teaching staff, talent training, "four-link interaction" of the government-school-enterprise association, scientific and technological innovation, high-end think tanks, and service to the society, with the title of "Taking Root in the Central Plains, Inheriting and Expanding the New Era, and Accelerating the Construction Process of a High-level University of Applied Technology"; Guo Yubing introduced the development of higher education in Zhengzhou; and Yang Junliang introduced the development of Zhengzhou Preschool Normal College Huang Kun, vice president of the Law Branch of the Henan Alumni Association of Peking University, made a speech at the forum.
After the forum, Cao Jun and Peng Yuancai presented gifts to the Henan Alumni Association of Peking University on behalf of the Guangdong Alumni Association of Peking University, and Yang Xuemei, Yang Junliang and Yang Baocheng accepted gifts on behalf of the Henan Alumni Association of Peking University; the designer of the "Peking University Alumni Seven Cities Relay Run" medal designer, He Yonghai, a graduate of the 2016 Art and Sports Department of Shenzhen Huada Sports Holdings Co., Ltd. and the 2016 class of our school, presented a set of medals designed by himself to the school.

In order to encourage people to pursue a healthy lifestyle this year, the Peking University Alumni Association, together with Songhe Capital, BGI Sports and China Sports, launched the "Peking University Alumni Seven Cities Relay Run" activity in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang and Beijing.
