I'm sure many people have heard it for the first time, and it comes from the Gaoligong white-browed gibbon. In the vast forest, no animal's call can be as long and graceful as a gibbon.
Gao Ligong white-browed gibbon, also known as "Tianxing gibbon", is a species named only by Chinese scientists in 2017, and it is also the second new species of gibbon to be named in the past hundred years, and it is also the only gibbon species named by Chinese.
At present, the number of Gaoligong white-browed gibbons distributed in Longyang District of Baoshan City and Tengchong City, Yunnan Province, is less than 100, far lower than the national treasure giant panda we are familiar with.
