The Tao Te Ching tells us about the three realms of learning

Tao Te Ching:

The sergeant hears the Tao and acts diligently; the Sergeant hears the Tao, if he survives; the Corporal hears the Tao, laughs, and it is not enough not to laugh.

This means that when the superiors heard the knowledge and doctrine of the Tao, they immediately studied them diligently and without hesitation applied them to practice. When the middle-class men heard about the knowledge and doctrine of the Word, they were half-convinced, and they could neither believe it lightly nor dare to easily deny it. And when the inferiors heard about the knowledge and doctrine of the Word, they laughed and ridiculed it. Because they don't believe in the existence of the Word at all. What cannot make some people laugh is not the true Tao.

The three kinds of "soldiers" here represent three types of people when we learn a knowledge.

Some people will think carefully, clarify its logical relationship, discover its essence, and then seriously implement it.

Some people do not understand the principles and feel that it makes sense, but there are doubts that cannot be answered, so they will believe and doubt, because the heart cannot be fully convinced, and they will not take the initiative to do it.

Some people, upon hearing it, conclude that it is false and deceitful, that there is such a truth in the world, and that only a fool would believe it.

The essence of these three different reactions is that people have different cognitive abilities.

The narrower the cognition, the narrower the boundaries of knowledge, the more self-righteous. Because they look at the problem too one-sidedly, they can't see through the essence and duality of things.

Different people "hear the Tao" so differently, so what does the real "Tao" look like?

If the path is clear, if the path is retreated, if the path is retreated, if the path is like a sword.

Meaning: the path of light is like obscurity; the way of progress is like retreat; the way of flatness is like a rough road.

It is not difficult to understand that someone pointed out to you a "Tao", what situations you need to go through, what difficulties you will encounter, and when you listen to it and do this thing so troublesomely, you think that it must be false and deceitful.

Because, the "avenues" you think of are all bright.

Then, this falls into the misunderstanding of thinking, "the road of light" does not mean that in the process of traveling the road is easy and unhindered, but that the nature of the path is bright, and the final result is bright.

What in the world can be done so easily?

If, a person tells you how good a "way" is, there is no difficulty, and the road is bright.

At this time, you need to be vigilant and carefully analyze this matter, because it is likely to be a trap or a trap.

Some people will ask, doesn't it mean that "the road is very bad, but the people are good"? (Meaning: The avenue is flat, and people like to take shortcuts.) )

The "avenue" is indeed flat, but it does not say that it is easy to reach. Think about it, why do you say "the people's good path"?

Isn't it because people like to be opportunistic and take shortcuts?

Why opportunistic and shortcut-taking?

For simplicity and simplicity.

From this point just reverse proof, "Avenue" is not easy. As Lao Tzu said, "If you are like a road", the really flat road is bumpy.

Therefore, the kind of real "avenue" that ordinary people understand has both "hidden" attributes and "explicit" attributes of bright and flat roads does not exist.

The real bright road, seemingly flat, is actually rugged.

It is precisely because of this that the Tao Te Ching says:

The people's work is often defeated by a few successes. Accidentally ends up also. If you are cautious in the end, you will not be defeated.

Meaning: People do things and often fail when they are about to succeed. Things can be done with the same caution as they were at the beginning, and they won't be defeated.

The bright road is inherently bumpy, and if you take it lightly and ignore the objective bumps when you are about to reach the end, then you will fail.

In addition, in the process of practicing the "road", there will also be a situation of "entering the road and retreating".

Like what:

I have worked so hard for so long, how come there is no result?

How did I insist on it, the more I went backwards?

When you encounter this situation, there are generally two reasons:

One is that what you do is inherently wrong. Second, you have encountered a bottleneck and need to break through.

To distinguish between these two situations, you need to review, carefully analyze, and find out the logic and essence of things.

If you find that this matter is wrong in itself, stop the loss in time.

If you find that you have encountered a bottleneck, this is a normal phenomenon, you must find the card point, break through the bottleneck, and you will succeed.

Everyone knows the legend of China's table tennis sports - Zhang Yining, she is the only "double slam" player in the world table tennis world so far.

The most enjoyable ones are:

Zhang Yining "no acting skills" let the ball to Fukuhara Ai, and afterwards Fukuhara loved to cry about life, saying that it was really too difficult. The coach was still teaching Zhang Yining over there: "You can't let this ball like this, you have to play like this." Zhang Yining said with a helpless face that she was worried that the other party would not be able to receive her own serve.

Zhang Yining is known as the "Great Devil" of the table tennis industry by virtue of his own strength.

However, Zhang Yining also encountered his own darkest moments.

In the semi-finals of the 2001 Osaka World Table Tennis Championships, Zhang Yining lost to Wang Nan.

In 2001, in the final of the Nine Games, Zhang Yining lost to Wang Nan. In the decider, Zhang Yining's mentality collapsed, he dropped the racket, kicked the table, and even gave up receiving the ball directly, losing to Wang Nan without grace, and Zhang Yining was punished by a three-month ban in the team.

Zhang Yining felt that she had worked very hard, but she couldn't beat Wang Nan.

But when Zhang Yining calmed down, he decided to tear everything down and start over, from the very beginning of the practice, little by little to correct himself, and finally, in the Ten Games four years later, Zhang Yining defeated Wang Nan, and zhang Yining also embarked on the road of invincibility.

Therefore, the "avenue" has both bright attributes and tortuous essence, and only by recognizing the characteristics and seeing through the essence can we succeed.

The reason is clear, let's start practicing.
