Walk into nature, experience the terroir, feel the humanities... Sketching is writing about life, but also about life. On October 17, the "2021 Shandong Art Museum Provincial Art Talent Training Project" was launched, led by Liu Yanchun, general secretary of the party branch of Shandong Art Museum, Yue Haitao, doctoral tutor of Shandong Normal University, and Zhang Minsheng, research librarian of Shandong Art Museum, respectively, as oil painting teachers and Chinese painting teachers, and together with 26 trainees, they went to Tai'an and Qingzhou to carry out sketching activities.

In the course of a week, the members of the seminar have sprinkled the majesty of Taidai Peak, depicted the years of the old alleys of the ancient city, and portrayed the fiery life of the peasant families in the new village. Using the brush as the lens, they appeal to the paper what they see and feel on the way to sketching; they talk about books and paintings, interact with each other, span the distinctions of age, experience, painting type, and subject matter, and constantly broaden their artistic language. From October 17th to 20th, the workshop walked into the depths of Mount Taishan, from the foothills to the mountains, and the edge of the creek, you can see the undulating peaks and rapids. Everyone carried heavy painting tools and walked thousands of steps a day, looking for sketching stations and extracting creative materials.
The open and complex scenes of nature give people a strong visual impact, but also bring challenges to the creation of the scene. In the training team, there are several outstanding graduates who stood out in the seventh "Young Future", some of them have just left the college-style teaching, and some specialize in the creation of character painting, facing the new environment, it is difficult to find a suitable entry point for themselves for a while.

The original old city, the traditional bazaar, the wooden signs are full of cracks, and the bluestone bricks have been worn smooth as mirrors. Whose footprints have been left here over the long period of time?
