Australian children create paintings to bless the Beijing Winter Olympics

A number of paintings were displayed at the 100-day online exchange event held by the Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne on the 27th to celebrate the countdown to the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics. From the beautiful ice piers and festive and lovely snow melting, to the Eye-catching elements such as the Chinese flag, the Five Rings, and the ice and snow sports, the works full of childlike fun and imagination fully express the children's ardent expectations and good wishes for the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Wang Yifan, 11, told reporters that she was born in Australia and returned to her ancestral home country for the first time in 2019. During that trip to China, she and her parents went to the Olympic Park in Beijing and saw the countdown board and ice piers of the Winter Olympics, and the Winter Olympics have planted a seed in her heart ever since. This time, she learned that there were related painting activities, and she signed up for it as soon as possible.

In her work, she depicts four ice piers dressed in snowsuits, some stepping on sleighs, some stepping on snowboards, and others sitting on snowmobiles, speeding on the snow tracks between the mountains and mountains, and the four characters of "Blessing the Winter Olympics" are dotted among them.
