The clouds steam, the wind and the sun, the weather, the landscape of the Three Gorges is fully displayed in Cui Yi's paintings. Cui Yi told reporters that because he was born in the Three Gorges, he is a native of Wanzhou and has experienced the changes of the Three Gorges for decades. When I was young, it was still very difficult to pass through the Three Gorges, and after the construction of the Three Gorges Dam, it could be navigated for twenty-four hours, let alone stopped.

In Cui Yi's view, the changes in the Three Gorges and immigration are also an important historical node. "Because I have feelings for the Three Gorges, I came from there and saw a lot of people leave home, and their feelings of attachment touched my heart." Through my paintings, I hope to record the scene at that time and praise the spirit of the Three Gorges people who give up their small homes for everyone to live forever. Cui Yi said.
