Ant-Man 2 Wasp Woman appears: Marvel is finally not saving the world anymore

Less than 4 months after the release of the last cosmic hero assembly movie "Avengers 3: Infinity War", Marvel has come with a new "Ant-Man 2".

As the 20th film in Marvel's 10 years, the story line of "Ant-Man 2" is slightly thin, there is no heinous villain, there is no universe war that destroys the world, and there is no glorious mission to save the world, but simply returns to family and family affection, telling a warm story of "using technology to find mothers and using technology to retrieve lovers".

In fact, in all of Marvel's hero settings, Ant-Man's sense of existence has not been as powerful as Iron Man and Thor, and the style it has created is also a small and pleasing warm family, a super daddy type, more precisely, "Ant-Man 2" is cloaked in the cloak of science fiction, which is actually a family-friendly type of love family light comedy.

Even so, such a film that no longer saves the world and saves the universe is still fascinating. In addition to the special effects of the ant people's freely retracting bodies and the fact that tall buildings can be used as suitcases when they become smaller, dr. Hank Pym's waiting for his wife, the second-generation wasp woman Hope van Dane's longing for his mother, and Scott Lang's "Super Daddy" to accompany and care for his daughter, can make people feel a strong sense of family affection. This also makes up for the fact that the protagonists of the Marvel Universe series of big movies are often super-gods and too illusory, thus completing the transformation of superheroes from gods to people.

Ant-Man 2 continues the plot of the first part, revolving around the mission of Recovering His wife through a quantum tunnel through a quantum tunnel after Ant-Man Scott Lang returns safely from the quantum realm. Scott Lang, who was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the defense department for going to Germany to participate in the civil war between Captain America and Iron Man, was not allowed to go out, because he and a generation of wasp women had quantum entanglement in quantum space, brought back the fragmented information of Hank's wife, and also joined the "rescue of mother-in-law" action.

The "quantum field" introduced in the film is full of imagination, opening another door for fans to understand the universe. Dr. Hank Pym's study of the "Pym particle" reduces the human to the subatomic level, allowing humans to enter the quantum world and explore the mysteries of the microscopic universe. The description of the microscopic world in the film, in addition to the close-up of the tardigrade that almost "eats people", does not expand too much, but the tip of the iceberg is likely to become a new exploration point and source of inspiration for subsequent Marvel Universe movies.

In the two-hour movie, the fight scene is not as tense and exciting as other Marvel movies, and there are no complete bad guys in the film, more like a group of people getting together for the "experimental building" and embarking on a funny and exaggerated adventure "treasure hunting" journey. The protagonists are to save people, the boss who sells black technology is for profit, the ghost woman is to save herself, and the FBI is more to go out to see if the Ant-Man imprisoned at home has broken the law, which does not constitute too much deterrence and obstacle to the completion of the entire task.

It is also because of the pursuit of the effect of family fun, for another ghost woman who is also affected by quantum matter and tormented by physical tears, the film does not give too much introduction, the image of the entire ghost woman has not been fully reflected, abruptly participating in the scramble, and finally another mess of harmony, inexplicably cured, lack of certain logic, but also let this person and the whole story somewhat stripped.

It can only be said that "Ant-Man 2" is a standard Marvel movie, mature special effects and American humor that pops out from time to time, so that you can get a bowl of chicken soup for the soul about love and family affection while laughing, even if it is not so delicious, it can also let you savor it when you are hungry.

Of course, "Ant-Man 2", which no longer talks about how to save the world, but lets the heroes return to their families and return to real life, undoubtedly touched the audience with a small and beautiful warmth. "Super Daddy" Scott Lang accompanies his youngest daughter Kathy's daily life and receives the trophy of "Best Grandma" from her daughter, which may allow parents to learn how to get along with their children and how to enjoy the short parent-child time with them. In the film, we also see the growth of Ant-Man Scott Lang, from the big boy who always messed things up and was immature, to the "daddy" who chose to help others and took on the responsibility and mission under the encouragement of his daughter, and truly became a superhero in his daughter's heart.

"Ant-Man 2" allows us to see Marvel's powerful dream-making techniques, even if it is taken out alone, it can become a complete comedy, and the Easter egg associated with other heroes at the end of the film has opened up space for subsequent story construction. At this point, domestic science fiction films still have a long way to go in terms of narrative and framework construction. Director Xu Ke's "Di Renjie" series has told us that special effects are actually not the weakness of domestic science fiction films, and how to tell a story with heart and achieve the complete unity of emotion and art is where the screenwriters should think deeply.
