In this beautiful season, the fifth member congress and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Xu Beihong Research Association of Jiangsu Province were held in Nanjing Zhongshan Hotel on the morning of October 30. Zhang Xinglai, president of the Provincial Wende Landscape Painting Research Association; Gao Jiansheng, executive director of the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Calligraphy and Painting and vice president of the Xu Beihong Research Association of Jiangsu Province; Lu Yuezi, professor of the School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University; Shi Weiping, professor of the School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University; Zhao Zhen, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Museum of Modern Art and chairman of the Provincial Young Artists Association; Wang Guobin, deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum; Bi Baoxiang, president of the Xu Beihong Research Association of Jiangsu Province; Wang Ping, Liu Jia, Fan Wendao, Shi Jianzhong, Li Dehui, and Du Xuezhi; Wang Qiang, assistant to the president; and Shenyang, secretary general. Also present at the celebration were all the delegates of the Fifth General Assembly of the Xu Beihong Research Association of Jiangsu Province.
Mr. Wu Weishan, Director of the National Art Museum of China, Mr. Xu Beihong, Dean of the Xu Beihong Art Research Institute of Chinese Min University, and Mr. Xu Qingping, son of Xu Beihong, sent congratulatory letters to sincerely congratulate the provincial Xu Research Institute on the prosperous situation and the successful convening of the conference. Mr. Zhang Jianhua and Mr. Li Jiusheng made important speeches at the celebration meeting, fully affirming the achievements of the XuBei Research Association in Jiangsu Province over the past 20 years; Bi Baoxiang delivered a speech on behalf of the Provincial Xu Research Association; Gao Jiansheng read a congratulatory letter; and the conference also issued a letter of appointment for honorary president and senior researcher. The celebration meeting and the general meeting of members were presided over by Wang Ping and Fan Wendao respectively.
At the general meeting of members, a new leading member of the Jiangsu Xu Beihong Research Association was elected: Bi Baoxiang was re-elected as the new president; Wang Ping, Gao Jiansheng, Zhu Xianguo, Feng Jialiang, Fan Wendao, Lü Shaoqing, Liu Jia, Shi Jianzhong, Li Dehui, and Du Xuezhi were elected as vice presidents; Jing Ting was elected as supervisor; Wang Qiang was elected as assistant to the president; Shenyang was elected as secretary general; Chen Mo and Lu Yunzhi were elected as deputy secretaries-general; and standing directors and directors were also voted and approved at the meeting.
The Xu Beihong Research Association of Jiangsu Province, with the care and support of leaders from all walks of life and people from all walks of life, has gone through a full 20 years. It has achieved remarkable results and has also become a well-known academic organization in the art circles of Jiangsu and even the whole country.
