Guangzhou, March 3 (Reporter Zheng Shu) On March 3, the 8th "World Wildlife Day" theme publicity activity with the theme of "promoting green development and promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature" was launched in Guangzhou Chimelong Wildlife World.
On the same day, Li Qiuming, director of the Wildlife Protection Division of the Guangdong Provincial Forestry Bureau, released the "Directory of Terrestrial Wild Animals under Key Protection in Guangdong Province" (Draft for Comments), officially soliciting opinions from the whole society. He said that with the increasing attention of the provincial forestry, agriculture, marine and other government departments to green development and ecological civilization construction and the continuous improvement of the awareness of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, Guangdong Province will continue to do a good job in the next step: first, strengthen resource protection; second, improve the protection of the rule of law; third, expand public participation.
At the event site, Liu Jianjun, vice chairman of Guangdong Association for Science and Technology, and Dong Guixin, vice president of Chimelong Group, jointly unveiled the honorary title of "National Advanced Collective for Science Popularization" won by Chimelong Group. It is reported that in the past year, Chimelong Group has continuously created rare species of black langur twins, anteaters twins, leopard sharks successful hatching, white rhinoceros successful childbirth, West African manatees successfully bred "second births" and other achievements.
At the event site, Chimelong Wildlife World made a gallery of recent newborn animal treasures for tourists to watch; there were also a number of newly born animal treasures on the scene, meeting with tourists for the first time and taking interactive photos. In addition, the garden displayed the vegetables and fruits that animals eat every day, and the science popularizer patiently told interesting stories for the children.
