A team of researchers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has for the first time discovered a brand new comb jellyfish species, a ctenophore, commonly known as a comb jellyfish, that lives off the coast of Puerto Rico and was found at the deepest part of the ocean floor, and it is unclear whether it is somehow fixed to the seafloor.
