Zhang Lin of Taoyuan Village, Guandu Town, was on the list

Recently, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released the 2021 Rural Culture and Tourism Talent Support Project Recommendation List, and Zhang Lin, head of the Guanduhe Agricultural Tourism Professional Cooperative in Zhushan County, was on the list.

Zhang Lin, a native of Taoyuan Village, Guandu Town, returned to his hometown in 2017 to start a business and registered the county's first agricultural tourism professional cooperative. After unremitting efforts, Wulingxia Taohuayuan was successfully created into a national AAA-level tourist area; Taoyuan Village successfully created a civilized village in Hubei Province, the first batch of Shiyan City Tourism Poverty Alleviation Key Villages, Shiyan City Tourism Famous Village, Shiyan City Party Building Leading Demonstration Village; Zhushan County Guanduhe Agricultural Tourism Professional Cooperative was rated as Hubei Province Returnee Entrepreneurship Demonstration Project, Hubei Province Rural Cultural Tourism Talent Project. The cooperative has driven Taoyuan Village to develop 375 mu of kiwi fruit picking gardens, 100,000 sticks of edible mushrooms, 200 boxes of bee breeding, guided farmers to establish 4 farms, and provided more than 70 jobs for the local people; developed more than 20 kinds of tourism commodities, created more than 10 rural tourist attractions, opened up more than 10 surrounding tourism markets such as Shaanxi, Henan, and Shiyan, and planned more than 20 festivals to promote the rapid development of the local economy. In 2020, the village received 150,000 tourists and achieved a comprehensive tourism income of 11 million yuan, making positive contributions to the joint construction of the village and the development of global tourism.

According to reports, from 2019 to 2022, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will adopt the method of public recommendation, evaluation and selection, select 500 rural cultural and tourism talents every year, and give corresponding support, aiming to give full play to the exemplary leading and backbone leading role of rural culture and tourism talents in rural revitalization, effectively strengthen the construction of rural cultural and tourism talents, and provide talent support for rural revitalization. The selected personnel will be supported in terms of communication platforms, publicity and promotion, training and exercise, and incentive mechanisms. (Correspondent Wang Huajin)
