A Tanzanian plane crashed into Lake Victoria on November 6 during landing in the city of Bukoba, Kagera province, in which 24 people were rescued and 19 killed. Zhang Lin, an employee of the Tanzania branch of China Communications Construction Corporation Second Highway Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., was the only Chinese passenger on board who escaped and bravely rescued a toddler. After learning of Zhang Lin's deeds of calmly coping with the dangerous situation and actively assisting in the rescue and rescue of local children, Tanzanian Prime Minister Majaliwa praised and thanked him.
