The Mirror: Liverpool will negotiate a contract extension with Henderson, hoping he will play until he retires

According to the "Mirror" report, Liverpool will start contract renewal negotiations with captain Jordan Henderson.

The 31-year-old Henderson currently has two years left in his contract and the club hopes to complete a contract extension with him to play at Anfield until retirement.

Klopp appreciates Henderson's personality on and off the court, knowing that the player is an important part of his team building plan.

Liverpool are already in talks with Van Dijk and Alisson to renew their contracts, while the club will then have a conversation with Henderson.

Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011 when he was signed by Dalglish for a transfer fee of around £16m.

In 2019 he led Liverpool to a Champions League title and the following year he led Liverpool to win the team's first Top Flight title in 30 years.
