According to CCTV news, on the afternoon of October 29, 2021, the Information Office of the People's Government of Rizhao City, Shandong Province, held the fourth press conference of the epidemic. Chen Changyong, member of the Standing Committee of the Wulian County CPC Committee and deputy county governor, introduced that the chain of transmission of the epidemic in Wulian was identified, and the overall risk was controllable.

Since the report of the epidemic in Wulian County on October 25, there are currently 6 confirmed cases and 7 asymptomatic infected people, all of whom are currently being treated in municipal designated hospitals and are in stable condition. From the perspective of the chain of transmission, among the current confirmed cases and asymptomatic infected people, 3 people are the family members of the first confirmed case, 6 people are employees or co-diners of a chicken restaurant who dined, and the other 3 people are employees of the whole chicken shop and close contacts who dined with the first confirmed case.

At the same time, the Sequencing teams of the Shandong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Rizhao and Qingdao Municipal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have cooperated to complete the whole gene sequencing of the first 9 infected people. Comprehensive epidemiological analysis and genetic sequencing results, 9 cases and asymptomatic infected people belong to the same chain of transmission, and the 4 newly reported asymptomatic infected people on the 28th and 29th are close contacts of confirmed cases, and there are no unexplained community infections. All infected people originate from the same chain of transmission: the first case was infected outside the province and infected the family members living with them; the first case and case 5 dined at a chicken shop and infected case 5 and the waiters in the store; case 5 infected their family members; and the family members of case 5 and case 6 intersected in time and space. It can be said that from the current situation, all infected people have found in close contacts and simultaneous air trajectory personnel that Rizhao City and Wulian County have adopted strong social control measures, and the overall risk is controllable.
