In the late autumn season when autumn is thick and the weather is slightly cold, 10 experts from the Hangzhou Municipal Language Commission arrived in Malkang City, Sichuan Province, on October 18, 2021 to carry out a three-day east-west cooperative language and writing work support activity.
At the opening ceremony, Cao Qimeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Malkang Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor of the Municipal People's Government, expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of experts and their entourage in the city. Cao Qimeng said that the reason why Malkang's language and writing work has made great progress in recent years and has made great achievements is to a large extent due to the strong financial support and meticulous guidance given by Hangzhou City in terms of funds. After citing the vivid examples of Hangzhou's assistance to Malkang in recent years, he said emotionally, "The grace of dripping water should be repaid by the spring," and on behalf of the CPC Malkang Municipal CPC Committee, the Municipal People's Government, and the vast number of workers and staff of the city's education system, he expressed deep respect for the leaders and experts of the Hangzhou Municipal Education Bureau. I am deeply grateful to the experts and their party in our city who will carry out a three-day training on the construction system of the school language and writing demonstration base.
The relevant person in charge of the Hangzhou Municipal Language Committee Office said that in order to implement the national poverty alleviation plan and do a good job in pairing assistance, in view of the actual needs of Malkang City, the Hangzhou Municipal Language Committee Office carefully planned the assistance plan, carefully selected experts, and carefully designed the curriculum, aiming to benefit teachers and students more through the efforts of experts. After the opening ceremony, the experts of our bureau focused on the construction of the school's language and writing demonstration base, and gave a total of 8 special lectures, namely "Putonghua and Standardized Characters", "The Affectionate Feeling of Ancient Poetry Recitation", "The Rhythm and Charm of Ancient Poetry Recitation", "Ancient Poetry Recitation Practice", "Campus Environment Characters and Official Documents Use Specifications", "Consolidating the Foundation of Language and Writing, Improving the Quality of Education and Teaching", "Carrying Out School Language and Writing Activities", "Starting from 'One Ability and Two Consciousnesses'".
The content of the lecture involves the language and writing work in all fields and levels of the school, not only the language and writing standards and the methods of language and writing activities, but also the guidance on how to carry out the language and writing work in the future. The training also highlights the inheritance and promotion of Chinese classics, not only the in-depth and simple explanation of the core methods of ancient poetry sentiment, rhythm and rhyme, but also the practical training of ancient poetry reading, and more than 220 trainees who participated in the training were divided into 6 groups and conducted half a day of practical training in ancient poetry recitation.
We are convinced that through our efforts yesterday and today in Malkang, we will surely make Malkang City blossom into a brilliant flower in the great project of deepening the language and writing work and forging a solid sense of the Chinese national community, so that the language and writing work of Malkang City can better serve the improvement of education quality and the development of various social undertakings.
